Engine exhaust image in PU Monthly Report May 2026

Is this a Gatac Railen thruster, or one from another (possibly unannounced) ship? The text immediately above it in the latest Monthly Report says:

Elsewhere, the Gatac Railen passed its greybox review before progressing into LOD0, with a combined LOD0 and Final Gate review scheduled for early June. Significant progress was also made on a related-yet-unannounced ship.

Then image URL has the word Railen in it so that’s likely what it is. Either way, looks excellent.

Yepp, guess thats a Railen thruster.
Though it does look a bit like the taillight of a Kawasaki Supersport bike.
Maybe the Xi'an are into the aesthetics of pre -fusion terran racing?

Aah, the image alt text is also "Railen" so case closed. Can't wait for this one to be released so we can find out how the cargo grids are laid out. I've been cargo hauling this patch, and this is a really nice size for the middle part of the Covalex rep progression. I have also learned that I like the Raft, I really like the Hull B and I do not like the Hercules C2 for cargo hauling. The C2 has so many awkward things about it, poor internal lighting in a space where being able to see is really necessary, janky interior signage, a weird two-part cargo grid where you can only stack 8 SCU boxes in the center of the rear one but not the others, some wasted space for walkways on the starboard side which don't take you to anywhere you need to go (the elevator to the top deck is on the port side). Does it have a tractor beam? No, of course it doesn't.

Glad I have a loaner for that. Would NOT buy in-game until it's had a bit of attention.

Now, my Hull B+ concept has just slightly longer landing gear legs, doesn't go for a stroll when you're unloading it, and has somewhere to put an ATLS. Please CIG!

But also, Railen.... mmmmmmmmm.
