If they want to find out who is leaking then use a sneaky method and they will not need to nuke entire groups.
Lets say 2500 folk in the EVO group in the last two years. Some people will have not played certain builds that leaks came from and can be counted out, lets say 500 people.
From now on they can limit the group size without you knowing so, they make 10 groups of 200 folk with a hidden marker in each group( maybe a ship with an extra weapon or a green planet), If group 'A'' gets a leak, they sub divide it and spread it amongst the others.
So If I am the leaker, I am now in a group of 20 suspects, hidden in a larger group of 200 players in group B. The next leak come from group B. So my group of 20 gets split up again with
2 of us in each group. I am now in group C with only one player from my original group. ETC ETC. It gets slightly harder if you have multiple leakers but over a few builds you can see how it works.
Do the same with the issue council groups and carefully with patch notes and within maybe 3 months you can find a safe group to test SQ42 with a reduced risk of leaks. The big problem is the lack of deterrent for leakers.
Any thoughts?
