I can guarantee this. Goons and other large orgs will be searching for bengals. Smaller eploration group will be looking so that they can sell the locations to bigger orgs. Imo we need to find 2 asap, otherwise we may lose a power grasp. dont want it to end up like test eve and wondering without a home.We may need to have dedicated squadron of explorers looking for broke down Bengals that first week or so. Not to mention mechanics and escorts. I know I plan on taking the whole week off at least so I'll be down for either.
You will use fuel only for conventional travel. Once you get to a jump point the "rift" opens up and you go threw. so no fuel is needed to use jump points. So, what is jump fuel used for?
Yes the cutlass red can be used as a explorer as well but is designed for ship finding (more of a pvp/rescue role and less of a pve role). Every ship can be used / fit to work as a exploration ship, however I Intended to do write ups on the "out of the box" exploration ships that are explicitly designed from the beginning to explore. The cutless red is designed for search and rescue, so it will be a great ship I am sure to find the derelict space craft, the write up on it makes it seem like its not going to find much ells. This will be the last ship I will do a write up on.@Adiran the Cutlass Red comes stock with a full set of scanners, as well, and also has a tractor beam. It could be used, out of the box for exploration, and could be very useful in those situations where you find a nest of weird genetically enhanced critters have eaten the whole crew on a now derelict station. Just my 2 cents. :)
once the game launches I guarantee test will have exploration fleets searching for just that as well as jump points for the first week or so at least. I intend to be leading fleets for a good time period after launch as exploration and pvp are going to be my main focus in game.I can guarantee this. My carrack, starfarer-g are ready to support. it would seem so. At least going off the writing for the ships designee/function. Specially made for search and rescue of damaged/derelict crafts. So, the Red would be the perfect ship for finding a derelict Bengal....
I thought that the devs said there was no leaks about where the bengals were and that they don't know until it they are placed by CR.For derelicts, I would be completely unsurprised if we can READ THE LORE so far for hints as to where to find ships. Bengal Carrier? Where was an old battle involving one? Where were any lost, that we know of? Place to start the search. Who wants to be a "lore master" to compliment our "explorers"? Bard... HA! "I'M GONNA DIE!!!" -Flynn the Fine
Okay, no lottery jackpot, but my general point stands. Investigate the LORE in expLORE, and make it work for us.I thought that the devs said there was no leaks about where the bengals were and that they don't know until it they are placed by CR.
I would love them to have some lore bengals that were destoyed deep in vanduul space.Okay, no lottery jackpot, but my general point stands. Investigate the LORE in expLORE, and make it work for us.
So what your saying is everyone needs to quit their jobs and play SC 24/7 until we have a bengal or take one from someone else, preferably goons. My only question is... who is going to be providing my mead during this trip? For Bengals we'll need to search high, low, and sideways to find them in the most unlikely spots and every avenue or lead must be explored to its fullest extent even if it is just a blip on the scanner.
Failing that we ready a TEST warband to take over someone else's Bengal and drive THAT into the sun.
2nd Jobs that pay nothing are good for the soul. I learned that from Eve.So what your saying is everyone needs to quit their jobs and play eve 24/7 until we have a bengal or take one from someone else, preferably goons. My only question is... who is going to be providing my mead during this trip?
