I know that I'm not alone in describing this as the next pocket carrier upgrade & a step between the Cat & Kracken for Drake lovers.

Hmmm, Firebird with 2x shootahs and 12x S3's, it's a missleboat through and through with the ability to launch a salvo of 6x missiles at once.

Looks like there's an upgrade inbound...

After careful consideration, we've made the following changes to the Firebird and Retaliator:

The Firebird's missile count has doubled from 12 to 24
The Firebird's signature reduction has been corrected (increased from 20% to 40%)
All Retaliator turrets have been upgraded to S3 Laser Repeaters
All Retaliator turrets have had dead zone issues fixed

These updates will be implemented in an upcoming Alpha 3.23.1a patch.

Big news in case you're looking for the either the Retaeliator and the firechicken: looks like people complain a lot to CIG for both ship designs (no, don't worry, this is not the news), they complain so much that surprisingly CIG altready took action, so:
- Retaeliator have ALL the turret upgraded to S3 weapons
- firchicken : missile capacity has been double from 12 to 24 missile (I think the launccher itself will remain the same, just with a spare salvo), also reduce it's signature to birg it in line with all the comparrble stealth ships
