Oh good god bad lip readings are such geniuses they should be millionaires.

If they are not millionares by now then all 17,000 of us should donate £58.83 each in order to make them millionaires.

WAIT a minute. There's still the matter of some unpaid tax... Lets see you owe HMRC ... 340 chests of tea....original tax rate ... fine... years... interest rate...compounded... late payment penalties... you owe HMRC ... yes, £455,768 trillion. And change.

Fair enough Vavrik, but then again, the UK rather owe their entire existence since WWII to the US given that it was the US entering the war that saved them from the Germans conquering them. As does the rest of the world. There is my Trump card. lols

Um, that article refers to loans that were issued to the UK by the US & Canada. I'm referring to the life, liberty & actual existence in life that the Germans were willing to exterminate had the US not stopped them. I have yet seen any war that the US was being crushed where the UK saved the day. Just saying.

Totally off topic, but. I don't see how the claim the US won world war II works. The Allied Nations did. Together. Team effort. But MVP was clearly the Soviets. By the time the US entered the war, the Royal Air Force had already prevailed in the Battle of Britain, and the Royal Navy had fought the battle of the Atlantic to a stalemate, that they and a bunch of British Mathematicians ultimately broke. The allied armies needed a Western Front to distract the Axis from the Eastern front. The US helped provide this distraction. This does not mean the US didn't contribute or did not make a difference, but it was a team effort.

This too: In the US, it is commonly taught that Japan surrendered after the atomic bombs were dropped, as if that alone caused the surrender. That does not appear to be the case. Japan had had other cities, including Tokyo almost wiped off the map, and that didn't cause them to surrender. The surrender came only after the Soviets also declared war on Japan. In the Pacific Theater, yes the Americans were the MVP.
