Guess the Aegis ship going to be announced in Frankfurt Aug 24th

This Saturday Aug 24th there is an Aegis event in Frankfurt.

There have been no leaks yet, but most agree there is a ship announcement or sale.

Assuming it will be a ship, what you think it will be?

It's going to be the one that does everything I want and nothing that I don't. But seriously, probably a small carrier or ground vehicle transport. I think something like a space barge for ground vehicles would be handy for the FPS guys.

Hmm Aegis already have a lot of fighter and already a big salvage ship...
For me it's either a small salvage ship (since the mechanics will be in game soon) or a medium freighter (Conny class) since that is totally absent in the Aegis lineup...

Or maybe they will announce the Redeemer rework...

Honestly idk... im thinking it would be cool if they showed a few different things. Maybe showed a cruiser? Since we cant own it show a small carrier or corvette? Maybe a search and rescue craft?

I will wager 1 beer to the winner of the guessing contest to be paid & delivered when I meet them in person. (I would offer more if I knew that I would be able to accommodate that in the future.)

I have no idea what it will be, but the speculation of some sort of carrier that can also deliver various ground vehicles seems to be a good possibility given the amount of ground vehicles that CIG has been unveiling the last few years. Maybe call it the Aegis Colossus?

I agree. They have a lot of capital ships, fighters, bombers, and large salvage, but they don't have anything that contends with the medium to large freighter. Something that can contend with the Constellation and Corsair. I vote for a freighter.

My guess is either a mechanized troops transport that can fit a few tonks or ballistas,
or a hammerhead style missile boat, that punches way above its weight with multiple AA missile turrets and two 3x3 torpedo / heavy missile racks at the front.

But reading through the comments, I guess the pocket carrier is the obvious choice. Maybe one small and fast, butt it only carries like 6 snub fighters.
Maybe it's a mix of em. Imagine a smallish carrier with a couple of ground attack planes (snub fighter sized) and capacity for troops and 2 tanks. That would be kinda cool...


Also, how about a Railgun-boat?
