There’s a warning going out in other SC communities that players can enter your personal hanger, kill you and loot your stuff. No details available but the seriousness of the claim warrants some investigation.

Sounds like a good reason to only call up your vehicles when using & store them when done with them. Meanwhile using only items that can be bought at vendors.
I always thought there would be a time we'd be able to do that. I believe back in the day I suggested the job role of Bailiff, where you'd get a mission to raid someone's hangar to recover debts in the shape of goods they had stored there.

Yeh I ha a bug where new Babbage was automatically taking me to someone elses hangar it let me open the elavator doors and go into his hanger. he was very confused so I left him to it did not try and access his inventory or anything.
Been stuck in prison for the last 3 days with no elavator working so can't try and recreate it or anything.

Yes the fix to that bug is to go to the top of the ift where it gets you stuck and server hop and region hop at the same time and you should wake up back at everus harbour.
