Started with the Ghost because it seemed to fit my play style (at least what I think my play style will be). Then the Redeemer was released with LTI and I got sucked into that because I was drunk. Playing arena commander, I wanted a super hornet, so I grabbed that during one of its periods of availability. Then I didn't know if I wanted the redeemer anymore, so I have a few CCUs between that and the Merchant Man. Then they said they were separating squadron 42 from Star Citizen online so I grabbed an aurora LN package.
I guess what I'm saying is that I don't have self control and maybe I make impulse purchases. Although, I'm not as bad as many here... So there's that.

okay, let's not be too sad for the ships we have purchased while sober or drunk. I spent $115 on a humidor and cigars at a charity auction while because I was drunk, money better saved and spent on a ship. Stupid wine, I should stick with Rum.
Started way back with a pledge for the 300i game package (there was no stinkin' 315P, 325A, or 350R back when I was kid, like you young'uns have today).
Then they released images of the Freelancer sectional view. Melted the 300i for the Freelancer package and, with that, I thought I was done.
But then they started throwing new ships at us. I found myself getting the Cutlass, melting that and picking up one Origin 300 series ship after another, melting and buying on credit.
I hit rock bottom. I had almost $230 USD tied up in ships I had no real interest in flying or in credit. I just wanted a Freelancer.
Now I have a total of 4 ships and am standing pat. All are MISC and starter to mid-level ships. I rationalized my final pledges as just getting some support for my Lancer.
What also helps me avoid pledging for new ships is unplugging my router for the month of October and December.

I bought only one (just the base starter package) to keep it cheap but, I have slowly upgraded it to freelancer. I wanted to slowly upgrade to a redeemer though I've been spending my extra money on other things.
I planned on having only one, but......beautiful concept art of pixel spaceships makes fools of us all.
I didn't know much about the game and jumped in fairly early in the process and just picked the Bounty Hunter package that was available.
Later many more ships and options were available, so I bit the bullet and also got a Ghost.

I bought a base package. Then thought I wanted to play arena commander more. So I bought a 300i... I wasn't so good with that so upgraded to 300A... Still strugled, so I upgraded to the Gladius. That was better I was set. Then the Super Hornet came on sale. I upgraded to that. Then they started talking about the mini PU and I thought I need a couple ships to play around with and I want a couple when the game start. Slowly and sometimes while drinking I would buy or upgrade a ship. Then decided a couple weeks ago I wanted to race more and bought a Gamma. So now I have a Connie, Freelancer, Super Hornet, Aurora and a Mustang Gama.
I now know I have very little self control.
Oh I also bought each of my kids a package and upgraded them to Avenger Titans.

I'm super bummed I completely missed the Reliant variant sale. I don't even know what I was doing when that happened. I want that news van dammit!

Then the Freelancer was calling my name so I got it.
But the real problems came when I saw the Reclaimer and thought, "I need this to blow up ships and take their delicious candy!
Now I have decided all of the aspects of the game I wish to play and have my eyes on a Reclaimer, Carrack, Reliant SEN, Khartu-Al, Starfarer (Genesis?), and a Sabre. The Sabre is stealthier their than Ghost I've heard.
Dumped a lot of money in it, but I'm not sorry I did. This game should be the game to end all games. (And it definitely will if it turns out to suck, I'll lose faith in all developers.)

I only bought one ship, the Constellation Andromeda, but with that purchase i got the P-52 Merlin for free!
The reason i bought the Connie is because its supposed to be my "Jack of all trades" ship. My main money maker. With it, i will be able to do Transport missions, Combat missions, Escort missions, Exploring and Pirating.

Discovered game SC... poked around
Purchased $50 ship - then realized you can't play without a package
So I Purchased $65 dollar ship
Then melted them and got a CUTLASS Black...

Got the LN Aurora package, then the Merlin as i wanted a weekend racer, then a good friend pointed out you can't carry a merlin on an Aurora, so under his advice i melted the Merlin and upgraded the Aurora to an Avanger Titan.
The Taurus keeps calling to me but then i call back "I don't have a computer capable of playing the game yet!" and that puts paid to those pangs. When i finally do... Oh dear...

I started with Ye Olde Digital Pirate package with the Cutlass.
And then decided that a Caterpillar would be a great 1-2 punch.
Of course, I had to upgrade to the Cutlass Blue, because it's tougher and meaner!
And then the Avenger looked wicked cool.
And then the Herald came out and was so adorkable I couldn't resist.
And then it was just a few more bucks to get the Infamous Armada pack. Damn you CIG. Damn you.
