How to successfully buy a credit Javelin during IAE?

I am posting for some advice and assistance for this upcoming IAE. I have not been fast enough to buy a Javelin for credit in the past. 4 years worth of trying.

For those of you who were successful, could you please share your wisdom? My store credits continue to mock me each time I log into the SC site.

@O-Lefty did it a couple of years ago. From what I recall he was able to get it in his cart on the first wave, but wasn't able to complete the checkout process. So he just kept refreshing that tab (keeping it in his cart) until the next wave went live and then he completed the check out process. He may be able to give you more specific advice, but that is the basics. He's not on the forums much, but he is very active on Discord. O-Lefty#5018

Wave 3 is your best bet

Try get one in cart wave 1. Keep the browser tab up, complete purchase at start of next wave.
You can use a browser bot to refresh the cart page with the Javelin every few minutes. Using a bot was working in 2020, not working in 2021, but working again in 2022. Don't forget to turn off the bot before next wave ;)

In 2020 you could still buy the ship using the direct link from the standalone ship page filtered to Javelin. That's how I got mine and a Kraken.

In 2021 they prevented that, making that link not working and forcing people to go through the IAE page (no other means worked then, not through the pledge store or the ship page in the matrix, untill after a few minutes of wave start). I only got a Hull-E and Phoenix that year because of that. Having a limited item in cart from previous wave was also not working.

2022 it seems they went back to the old system for Invictus, got additional Kraken this way.

So get ready with multiple browser tabs (or multiple computers/smartphone). Tab with IAE page, tab with standalone ship page filtered to Javelin, tab with standalone ship page sorted with most expensive ship first, tab with page from ship matrix which will show purchase options when wave hit.

And Lefty got 2 Javelin this way, why 2 javs, ask him, he probably wants to catch up with Ecstasy

I didn’t realize they were both “credit Javelins”. That IS something to behold.

Ah I do not know for his first javelin, if it is a credit one, only meant he got 2.

Not sure when it was, but the last time it did not sell out in 5 seconds, it took at least 30 seconds.

Oh I hope so! I missed out on the Phoenix Emerald some years ago, and have wanted one ever since so the Phoenix is the next best thing. The Constellations are my favorite ship. The Aquila was my first pledge.

I have never ventured, however from what i have heared:

CTRL+F5 on multip!e tabs tabbing from one to the next whike the previous ones load so you can see the second it goes live.

If you ge it in the checkout your battle has only just begun, it can sell out whike you are putting in your details - save your payment details for better chance.

If it sells out while you are paying it will refuse the sale but keep it in the basket for the bext wave at which point when it goes live go right to the checkout and you have a better chance of being lucky as you are skipping a step.

Finally, keep checking back for about half an our or so even if its sold out, as others tramsactions fail the stock goes back in to circulation. As its a large purchase make your bank aware to clear the transaction too - if they hold the charge, the website may not hold the stock.

F5 is your friend and even when it says its sold out keep trying. if someone takes to long in their cart then the jav will go back into stock and you can buy it. I haven't bought them from store credit but i did get mine when they were in super high demand and its a nightmare. Do not stop pressing F5 i did it for about an hour and eventually it appeared. Ive had to go through that for my jav, Kraken, and phoneix emerald. My phoenix emerald i got cause i messaged concierge and told them about me living in japan and they were putting it up for sale during my sleeping hours. They let me buy it from them directly with a special link and later in the year they created the Wave system.

Having it in cart doesn't reserve it anymore. Only going through payment will work. Warbond or credit.

It will Grey out if "Sold out" but some people dont complete the purchase in time and get timed out then it goes back into stock and it wont be sold out anymore.

I know you are looking for stand alone, but there is another way. During IAE, they usually sell manufacturer “complete” packs. While it does not contain the military Idris,it does contain the militia Idris and the Javelin. The other ships all have CCUs you can upgrade too. For instance, the Hammerhead to Polaris. Avenger to almost anything, etc. This is a good way to get a fleet set that you want fairly easily. It costs a pretty penny, but if you already have a significant number of ships, want to get a Javelin, and don’t want to fight (or just plain lose) the F5 wars, this is another way to get the Javelin using your credits.

This method has not been limited in the past, so any number of people can buy them, plus IAE provides the opportunity to get all the CCUs you want to turn it into the collection you are looking for.

No Javelin. They were gone in less than 30 seconds.

I learned something. Don't F5 the main RSI page. They update the IAE event page before the main page.

No. I also messed up and picked the first 'red' buy tag and it happened to be the warbond version. I think the credit ones were already gone. Waiting for the main page was my biggest mistake as they seem to update from sales page -> out to main page. I'm looking for credit. So i will need to try again later today. Hopefully not in the early am hours. heh.
