You won't be the first.

It was a long time ago, but Black Sunder, myself, and a few others were out doing what passed for fun back in those days. I was in my Super Hornet, he was in...either his or someone else's Beerfarer (Starfarer) and I alt tabbed out to check something and my ship decided to go from standstill to full throttle while I was pointed right at the back of the Beerfarer. I was told it was a spectacular ending for my ship and character, but fortunately, it only did some damage to the other ship.

I think I apologized for almost a year for that little incident. Now it's just another memory of how bad a pilot I am and a funny story to bring out when people get embarrassed over their own mistakes.

Lesson to be learned...always ensure you are not pointing at someone else's ship when alt tabbing out to another program...
