They're too pretty. They just don't speak '"ship" to me.
Yeah man, I feel ya. This game is amazing, and really, it doers speak to different people in so many different ways.

Lemme know if that 600i gets that modularity, or some upgrades. I MAY be willing to over look the pretty for some decent functionality, haha.
With all do respect, most things that carry alcohol without ruining it can seem rather pretty to a LOT of TESTies. Notice how most of the Origin ships have a bar in them in some sort of manner? ;p Drinks to enjoy while you ponder where you'll wake up hung over next time.

Yea im guessing that would be wrapped up in a NPC intelligence overhaul along with NPC's you can hire to work on your ships, and ships on trade routes.
Think thats quite far away sadly but definatlely one of the things im most looking forward to.
Would be cool if the NPC encounters you run into generate dynamic missions as well.

Imagine running into an NPC hauler that's being attacked by NPC pirates? Do you sit it out or intervene?

Intervening might earn you the gratitude of the NPC and a small monetary reward. What if the NPC takes it further and offers you a job to escort him for the remainder of his route? What if this is the start of a chain of missions that is both fun and rewarding?

Lol, but when I pee in the corner of an Origin ship, it runs all over the floor and makes a mess. When I pee in the corner of my Carrack, it just falls through the grating into the ether of the chunky underbelly!

This. This would be some amazing. I can only hope the game has this kind of granularity.

ts not about granularity, but about putting the gameplay systems in place. Group jumps still need a lot of work for this to happen, and communication needs to be improved, but after that, it can probably be done,

Honestly, I think one of the biggest things missing is any kind of voice prompt. Like in freelancer, someone would talk to you, even as a disembodied head in the corner of your hud. I miss being called freelancer 1-1.
Hadn't even thought of that. Damn. Good point. I imagine it would be rather difficult though, with the amount of different call signs and occupations on SC. Although I imagine they could just use "citizen" or something along those lines. A generic title that could apply to everyone in the verse.

Right, you're talking player to player. Derp. Another good point. I read still thinking I in terms of single player interaction with NPCs. Show up, pirates are attacking a convoy. First choice: help the pirates or the convoy. Convoy. Next choice, after defeating pirates: attack convoy yourself or escort them to base. Escort. Third choice: demand payment or use your intervention to increase faction standing. Etc etc
