Im lying in bed all cozy, drifting between a satisfying sleep and waking up.

Suddenly the squeaky brakes and rattling sounds of bottles being dumped into the garbage truck start getting closer.

Its garbage day and Im the loser that forgot to take the garbage out last night!

Now Im sprinting down the stairs half asleep, in my underwear!

Scrambling out to the side of the house, damp grass at my bare feet and my underwear getting more fresh air than they should, I grab the very full garbage bin and make a run for the curb!

I missed it, but by the time I made it to the curb, he was going up the other side of the street.

He sees me and most probably recognizes my look of defeat, Im sure he has seen it many times! lol

Good guy garbage truck man slows down and stops outside my house on the opposing side of the street and signals for me to bring the garbage across!

Mission successful!

Now for coffee.

So garbage day usually happens once a week. Unless it's a leap year, there is a super moon followed by an asteroid passing near earth orbit and the rapture happens. Then the world will come to an end a few days later and there will be no more garbage day but at Tha point I don't think garbage day will really be that important.
