Growing up I always learned to clean my plate. If there were leftover vegetables, for example, that’s perfect for throwing into a casserole tomorrow...waste not, want not and all that.

I’ve really enjoyed watching CIG design artists show how they can reuse assets in new and interesting ways during Star Citizen Live. And while I can appreciate Chris’s vision of how he wants jump gates to look, I’m sad to see the jump gate rings be tossed to the wayside. But, don’t waist the man hours put into crafting that beautiful artwork! I hope that they use this asset as the crest of a massive subterranean tunnel that could be used for huge dungeons and/or cities. This could make sense especially for planets with particularly hostile atmospheres where surface living would be impossible.

Or, perhaps use the asset for similar subterranean base building. Imagine creating surface structures surrounding a massive subterranean garage for large guilds. Would love to see capital ships and their support ships poor from the bowels of a planet/moon/astroid. That would be epic!

For the iteration provided to Evo yesterday, there were neither gates nor rings. The game has you fly up to the anomaly itself and trigger it with your jump drive. There is a minimal HUD assist to allow alignment; otherwise you are there on your own, face to face with an incredibly powerful force of Nature.
