I have done the math (the Monster Math!) and figured out what packs I might use.
I do have the Exploration Mega-pack from a few years ago that was $895, but totals up to $1270 worth of ships, a savings of 29.5%.
The current Mega-pack is $1350 and has $1770 worth of ships, but is only a savings of 23.7%
So the current regular Exploration pack that everyone goes on about is $695 and has $960 worth of ships, it's a savings of 27.6%
So I think I may just keep my pack since it's the best savings and if I plan on upgrading I could maybe grab the current Explorers. Hopefully it doesn't go away or increase in price, but I kinda have a feeling it will since it's insanely good value for the money. I'd melt mine to buy one, but then I'd lose my upgrades. Although I do have most of my upgrades back, I'd still lose the C2 and not sure how I'd get the A2. It's a tough decision...
I've added a couple of those packs to my buybacks, scoundrel and the OG explorer pack (the 495 one)...just in case. I wish I'd added a couple more of the current Explorer Packs to my buybacks before I'd bought my current one. Just in case, ha.
I've never thought about doing the math on the packages I picked up. Think i'd be to worried about finding out how much I've invested into this dream.
It's hard to ignore for me since I hit concierge. And on the Billing section it tells you a total.
I keep telling myself that spread over four years it's not as bad. Cause what I've spent divided by four...damn, that's still a lot of money...
Don't ever get the Hangar XPLORer extension then, haha. Ugh.

Yeah, I'm sitting at the >$3000 mark, but let's not talk about that with my wife nearby. I don't even want to think what I've spent on grey market price hikes...
I know right? That's where the XPLORer extension comes in, as it shows you the value or everything in your hangar, not just whats spend through the SC store.
Where do I get this? I'm kinda curious. And somehow I ended up with an M2 to A2 upgrade. Totally unsure how that got there...yep.

I'm all about the Corsair and my secondary will be an Apollo. I want a small fleet for small crews and those are my 100% main ships. I am having a hard time deciding if I want to get a 3rd ship for more inner-system travels between planets that I will leave somewhere like Terra Prime. I just can not find a calling for a ship that carries at least 2 people for this, I have my eyes on the Banu right now for this that can give me other options for fighing or escorting if i want to do that.

Banu Defender? Solid choice.
Depends on what you have selected too. My value in hangar vs value spent on the billing subscriptions page are almost identical.
I really wanted to love the Defender, it's super cool, but I just hate the guns. Maybe I should try it out with some ballistic on it. I wanted to love all of it...
I've been eye-jacking the Banu for a while. I should really get into game and fly it while she's the Sub ship, see what I think.
I love the way it flies, it's got a super cool QT, and the shields are awesome except for the holes. The guns kinda suck, but those can be replaced, trying to right now lol.
And I'm contemplating buying back the Merchantman in my buybacks to go with it, the Banu architecture is amazing!
Why not the Banu pack with both? Lol. I'm sure I've seen someone somewhere recently that had them for sale.
