Is there anything on the back end of this new version of this forum that makes it faster?

I think it’s loading less JavaScript embeds, so less waiting when the page loads

I think it looks a lot cleaner, sharper, modern.
I know what you are saying though, I was used to the old style too, it takes some getting used to.

Looks snazzy to me. Obviously this isn't the future of our forums, otherwise everything would be chrome.
You know I thought they were called GIF's too, but someone told me the man who invented them called them JIFF, spelled GIF.
I pointed out to this person that language was an artificial construct and they could pronounce GIF "Fartbox" for all it mattered.
They don't talk to me anymore. I loose more friends to the GIF debate than to Drink, Drugs and Marrage...
