Mirai Guardian theory crafting

I really like the interior and Star Wars theme it has going on. The tiny elevator and lack of exterior storage was almost a deal breaker until I found a way to get a 1SCU box in and out of it. Now its more fun and is functional for my all around use.

I understand the functionality/flexibility of an external missile bay but I always get a chub when a ship has missile launch tubes. Given that the Mirai brand has such sleek lines, I just don't get why they didn't have internalized missile bays? Not a deal breaker in my mind, but my heart pangs a little thinking about it. Either way, I LOVE the bubble cockpit and overall aesthetic of the Mirai brand.

The external missile slots allow the player to attach different size missile sizes / groups instead of being locked into 1 with the tubes. This being said, imagine how sweet it would be if they had missile launch doors similar to that on the Eclipse that open, eject the missile / torp & then they launch from beside you, then close up restoring the clean lines.

Technically no, they won't be limited to a single size missile: looks the work CIG have done with the Ares series: while there is a unique missiles launchers on the right side of the cockpit that is fixed, the support on the wings are modular and can be changed even if they are enclosed, the cowl adjust accordingly to the missile arrangement.

The question is: since CIG have this solution on their sleeves why don't use it in others ship or retrofit some of them with it?
Like the Nomads or the Scorpion for example.... just to name a couple...
