Monitor advice

Will I be able to run 4k? Not for gaming on a gtx660...

But the screen runs 2k natively, so was thinking I'd use that for gaming and run 4k on desktop applications. Frankly I want to future proof so when I do splash out on a ~£2k PC in a year or two's time I won't be wanting a new monitor too...

RRP is double my budget, I'll need more convincing to splash out as much as my whole PC cost on a screen than just the name ;)
