I named my Aurora the Kamikaze with respects to the lime and vodka drink and how I'll probably only be using it as a drunk adventures vessel. The idea stuck, and now all my ships have thematic drink names.
Merchantman - The Long Island - It's a floating exotic island that does a little bit of everything - trade, gunship, travel, etc.
Freelancer DUR - Blue Lady - It's blue, and ships have she/her pronouns. Got some definite junk in her trunk.
Avenger - Boilermaker - A dog fighter known for its firepower and lack of finesse.
Mustang Gamma - Sidecar - Strong and goes quick.
Aurora LX - Kamikaze - Mostly crashes into things. A sign of impending poor decisions.

Aurora MR: Second Chance. This and the other Aurora are backup ships for now.
Aurora MR: Last Resort. Self explanatory. And aptly named. Ha.
Aurora LN: Glory Hole. I intend to fly it blind into dark places. Like the center of a sun. Because sun's are dark. Real dark.
Freelancer DUR: Bottom of the Cup or The Last Beer. That's where I was when I decided to buy her. And that's where I'll be when I'm flying into the dark recesses of space, seeking out new and alien beer and also more beer.
Sabre: Wolf's Howl. My infant son's nickname is Little Wolf. This ship is a tribute to him. And his lungs. What a set he has. Ha. Also, I imagine my enemies howling in terror as I blast them into the void. Mwaahahaha. Or my howling in frustration as I'm blasted into the void. *sniffle*.
P72: Future Bankruptcy. Because there will always be another ship to upgrade too. Haha

I have lovingly dubbed my Aurora LN the "Meteor." It flies around space and leaves craters wherever it lands. My Avenger will be called the "Police Brutality," the "Renaissance Man" will be a fitting name for a Freelancer, when I get a Retaliator I will call it the "Freedom Express" because... well... bombs... and 'MERICA, and I shall call my Javelin/Idris/Similarly-sized-ship the "Laniakea." It's the name of our galactic super cluster and it just sounds cool.
