Hi guys, I am pretty new to Star Citizen and need help with professions. Could someone direct me to where i can get more info and the types of professions available in star citizen and also where I can find comparisons for ships according to what its being used for?

Sorry if this is a pretty noobie question

What have you always wanted to do? If someone gave you a space ship today, where would you go? How would you use it? Chris Roberts' vision includes a universe where you can basically do whatever the hell you want. Beyond the obvious professions of Trading, Escorting, and Pirating; There is a whole wealth of niche markets. Did you get really good at tuning components? Then you can ply your trade selling superior upgrade parts to other players. Like search and rescue? Then save up for a Cutlass Red and get out there and do it. There is no profession to "choose", just what you end up biding your time doing during your time in the verse. Now get out there and enjoy some free will!

Hahaha....no obligation, doesn't know what he's not supposed to know that not knowing what he doesn't know about know what should be known even though unbeknownst (?spelling?) to everyone that knowing that you don't know and what you should know then makes known what should be known while hiding the unknown behind what's known and unknown to that which should be known...........hey look, squirr

If you tell us what kind of roles you're most interested in I'm sure people will have great advice about ships. Please do bear in mind that you don't need to buy a big and expensive ship to have great fun on one. Lots of people here are looking for smart, committed crew. Anyone who wants to become expert for example, in something like electronic warfare, or just in handling sensors, has as much work as they'd like aboard ships like Redeemers and Sentinels that are going to be much less useful without such specialists. If you can't afford an expensive ship there is no reason to not start on one. Players need players.
