I am looking for a ship that can haul, and i can throw a small mining and salvage ship in, do you think the ironclad will fit this bill? it has a lot of storage room. opens at the top that a small ship appears to be able to fit in.

I just got the Reclaimer to Ironclad warbond ccu for $10. Even if I end not getting one, it's a great investment (ugh...) for other chains.
First, I am not sure if you will be able to actually fit a mining ship in like the prospector or golem, and certainly not the Mole. While I HOPE this is the case, I can't be certain. That said, the Liberator will be able to do this and carry a respectable 400 SCU of cargo.
It's all going to depend on what you want out of your "carrier"
Liberator has a max crew of 2, meaning you should be able to solo it fairly easily.
The Ironclad/IC Assault has a max crew of 6, meaning you probably need more for it.
If you are going out with others, the IC might be the better bet, but if you are doing solo work, I would go with the Liberator
