Depends on the hauling contract methinks. Hauling 32 SCU of high-value cargo that should better not get scanned by the authorities might be the adequate game loop.LOL.. 'heavy scout' indeed. A completely underwhelming cargo ship - smaller guns and larger signature than the base model, no amenities, and inadequate capacity for anything above beginner hauling contracts at 3x the price of a Freelancer.
Dunno because I haven't flown one yet.And even if we're assuming you're somehow maintaining that 4km detection range, what's the use case here?
The base Prowler is a decent ship with great firepower. It has two weakness's in my opinion 1) only one powerplant, not enough to fully power the ship's abilities. 2) No place for scavenged cargo/modules or really ANY other game loop.I am still renewed in my interest in the original. Can’t use it as a daily driver or live out of it, but still an impressive assault platform.
We are TEST! We have cases :)Dunno because I haven't flown one yet.
But I promise I'll TEST most of the best ( and ALL of the worst) use-cases...![]()
Keep in mind that in many situations, no one is pinging. You know when those are so you know when you can ignore your CS. With all unnecessary components are switched off, the Utility has an EM of 1.2 and an IR<1, so most ships can’t see it unless they’re within 1km.In theory you can get it down to 4km detection range, which would be cool for smuggling past a blockade I guess.
Hmm, those are good points. I'd still want that cross section reduction to be more tho, but it could work.Keep in mind that in many situations, no one is pinging. You know when those are so you know when you can ignore your CS.
Certainly though, a good smuggler, if you can find a worthy cargo that large. Out of Jumptown, with 32 SCU. . .that is a LOT of money. If you put 8 guys in this and 7 went in, you could be very rich very fast.
I saw one vid where the guy was making a big deal of how quickly this thing loads and unloads with the included tractor. So, stealing drugs almost cries out.
Really? spviewer is saying the lowest you could go is 2.2With all unnecessary components are switched off, the Utility has an EM of 1.2 and an IR<1, so most ships can’t see it unless they’re within 1km.
You SIr are way more experienced and grown-up than I am... haven't applied the CCU yet though.
I'll wait till next week.
CIG said personnel carrierCome to think of it, this Prowler with its stealth and cargo capacity might actually turn out useful to give a ride to unwilling passengers in unfriendly territories.
You know, bounty loop an such once it's in game.
Still wonder if I can put 2 big bombs i the cargo holds and the force eject above a target of choice.
Come on guys, this ride kinda screams stealth bomber, doesn't it?
Imagine the picture.
Diving while the cargo bays open and the pads push the bombs out.
Choose a target.
Release.
Topple the pigs fortress
Angry Birds all the way!
(I know I mention Angry Birds way too often. I blame the Teverian design though.)
The stealth buff does make it much more attractive. I think I've seen the bomb usage question somewhere before too.Come to think of it, this Prowler with its stealth and cargo capacity might actually turn out useful to give a ride to unwilling passengers in unfriendly territories.

That it is dear sir! And I will personaly bat any incoming bombs out of the park if they dare to show up above our sacred watering hole. That ship is mission critical.
