Whats good guys, its awesome to finally have finished downloading the game and starting to roam around!
Thanks again for the invite but now i got a few questions/problems.

1. I run a Win10, i7, GTX960M, 16GB but my game keeps crashing, are there any common problems i need to address such as driver installs to play this game?

2. I purchased a SQ42 + Mustang package to start playing the game but i have not received my 1000 credit or SQ42, maybe i just dont know how to bring it up or redeem it?

3. The Mustang was hard to fly so i swapped it out for an Aurora LN, which i havent even had a chance to fly it cause the game keeps crashing... but now im thinking about investing in a Constellation Andromeda or Taurus, will i be making a significant amount of money by transporting to be worth it? will i also have people that would want to work with me? :)

If anyone can help me out that would be greatly appreciated!

Welcome to TEST Squardon, Brian!
I am not the most tech savvy, so someone else may have to chime in about your crashes. But Sq42 is not released yet, expected soon (tm). Your 1000 cedits should show up on RSI website https://robertsspaceindustries.com/ under "My RSI" tab as UEC (space bucks). You may want to wait on spending it until game is released though.
You can earn REC (rental space credits) in Arena Commander and spend that trying out spaceships and spaceship guns that you rent from website. Also in the PU (persistent universe), you can do mission to earn aUEC (alpha space bucks) to buy FPS guns and clothes, but this gets wiped with patches because it's just for testing.

1. Yes crashing is common. You said it worked for you before cause you flew the mustang? what build was that? whats changed since then?

2. SQ42 is not ready or out yet. Supposedly The end of the year episode 1 will be out. With that said it should be out "SOON™". As for the 1000 UEC that will not be given to you till the Game is in official release. IE not alpha or beta. We are still in the alpha stages.

3. Hard to say what you will make since economy is still being decided on. Yes you will have Testie Besties

Hi there and welcome to the best collection of the worst pilots in the universe!

1.) Unfortunately a GTX960M is pretty slow for SC, Im running on 2 R9-270X's (each card roughly twice as fast as a 960) and I only get 20 or so frames. That said, try Eiyron's custom "low" setup here ; https://testsquadron.com/threads/star-citizen-config-files-high-and-low.2912/
might get you a bit better performance, it did for me (it does glitch occaionally but my frames are far better

2.) As others have said, 1000UEC will be in the final game, or in the website under "myRSI" SQ42 isnt out yet, just hang tight and wait for release it should be good

3.) Basically the answer is we dont know how hard money will be to earn in the final game. It will be easier to earn money with a taurus than an aurora, but bear in mind operating costs will be higher (insurance, crew costs, repairs fuel etc)
Basically yes you will earn more money with a connie but it will be higher maintenence. My advice for ships is dont spend money unless you count it as spare money, I spent way too much on this game :D

also can you even use rec ships in the MiniPU cause i have a rec'd 350R that i can place in my hanger but i can't use it in the mini PU? i thought it had something to do with when they added persistence, but im not sure. basically i rented it back in december. and its still perpetually has 5 days since i never use it in EA. It did used to work in the minipu but now it doesn't but strangely enough the REC'd weapons i have do.

also a suggestion if you do like the Aurora and don't want to drop a buttload of money on a game you aren't sure when it will be done. NOTE: ive put like $360, but thats because we are enablers that reinforce bad habits.

I digress, My original package was the Arena commander Starter and what i did is paid the extra $10 to upgrade my aurora MR to an LN. Which in the long term gives you Some cargo space plus a heavier artillery. with 4 gun hard points and a missile rack

buttttt Spending more money is always encouraged here.

thats what i thought so i thought it was funny that the REC'd weapons i had from before the Persistence update are available in the PU

Welcome to TEST!! The game does crash for me as well from time to time, even when I launch it. Framerate is also horrendous, but eventually I have a good connection or run. Keep trying!

thanks for the replies.
ok i was just too excited for the game and i eventually found all the information on the messed website.
the crashing for me might just be the internet connection cause at night it works fine (crash every 15 mins)

Ill give this a try, right now all my settings are pretty low. I havent owned a "gaming" laptop ever so im not too sure about these graphic cards. if im planning on spending alot of money on the game i might as well get one of those external gpus lol

it does get annoying when it crashes right before fixing the comm but i do get some decent play time now

im guessing it was the time of day. i mean flying the mustang, i blacked out more than i crashed haha
