Player entry has averaged 83 players per minute ... *does math* ... so a four hour log in wait. Wow!
With Amazon behind the game, I was hoping they would have ginormous server capacity to avoid a repeat of 2000s-era opening day server issues like this.

The data show Valhalla with a queue 15 hour wait time (last number on right). Good pick for a popular server!
Stats down the page also suggest each world is capped at 2000 players, and we picked the 2nd most-queued server (Valhalla), hovering right at 1999 players in game.

Im not going to get into the game today.
Probably give it a go tomorrow.
Amazon Games said, in order to try alleviate the queues, you can play on a different server and then move your character at no cost in two weeks.
The problem is they did not specify if you could move to ANY server... They might not allow a move to a busy server.

That’s gonna make thing s a bit tricky for well….coordinated game play.

I have never played a better queue simulator in my life.
It was up to 13,000 on my server yesterday.
Today it was 3,000, already 3hours waited, another 2 hours and I'm almost back in.
10/10 for the waiting experience.

A few of us just tested it and there was no queue, none at all, only my third, fourth times logging in and out yeah zero queue as of like midnight tonight. All in all it's been a really smooth and fairly chill game launch for me and Gunnar.
Xist started up on another server called Cedar, US East. If you want to get in right away, join that server and have fun.
AGS said they will allow a free server transfer in two weeks. The risk is that they do not let you roll into Valhalla when the traffic dies down.
Worst case is you get to restart and do it over.

Yes Dad! I usually start a new char in MMO's after I learn how to play anyways, so no big deal if that's the way she rolls.
Some of you were wondering about why Gunnar and I have so much Ore, Hemp, Oil, etc mats and this is the best I got for you...

A heads up that New World's queue system is reporting bad data.
The high-level server list reports 890 players queued for Valhalla this morning. But attempting to log into the server, it shows a queue of only 75 players.
After a half hour of the queue still saying 75 players; but is it really the 890? Hmmm.....
Heading back to Nepenthe. Its a good Star Trek kinda destination name.
