This game was way overhyped, unfortunately...
well it depends, if you let it the mob will overhype every game. People need to look at games and see what they are, not what they wanted them to be. I wanted NMS to be a space exploration game, because that is what the devs were making. and it may not be perfect, but it is fun, for what it is.

this is how i feel. Being some one who didnt follow every interview and had no idea who hello games and sean was till the day i bought the game. I feel overall that the game is mirrored in this trailer granted a more densely populated, but nothing im sure a quick number change cant fix in the futre and im sure it was lowered to help with stability in the first run as to not bog anyones system down out the gate. INb4 LOL frame rate issues and crashing. This kinda proves my point. Small team no Beta. its hard to know how the game would run across all systems. PC platform while superior has one big flaw and its lack standardization. Its easy to optimize for console in theory cause there are less variables to worry about everyone has the same setup. I imagine the game will only get better with subsequent patches and updates. It feels like this is Hello games baby and i hope that it doesnt go the way of DayZ where that was an obvious cash grab that the creator abandoned once he cashed the check.

Did I miss something? DayZ still is in development, isn't it? Currently alpha patch 0.61 is being released. I mean: alpha. I haven't played it because its not my kind of game. But I've read that it is a fun pvp game without content. NMS also has no content, but therefore no pvp :D ;)

Just to say, no man's sky is a major cpu eater. I5 6500+fury x here, and it chews up 80-90% of my cpu, will my GPU activity remains pretty low. Runs butter smooth though with the latest amd drivers

To be clear. Yes a collection of people may be putting out small updates every now and then, but there was a sudden drop of in development content. The original creator left like 2 years ago hence the mod getting more content and being better than the paid for standalone.

What DayZ was supposed to be is far from what it is. Sure its fun to troll and be a general nuisance, but that gets old fast. Theres never any incentive to play that game like its meant to be played due to 1 the lack of zombies in a zombie survival game, 2 the broken mechanics when it comes to UI inventory and what not, and 3 the fact that the community that plays the game tend to just play the same way. IE Server jumping collecting a mass of weapons and ammo then spawn camping new players killing on site. Thats the meta and if you dont adapt and play that way you don't have fun. Its very rare that you have the Walking dead RP experience the game was meant to give.

NMS was never intended to be a PVP based multiplayer game. It was a space exploration sim with PVE elements. Its focus as far as i saw it was on exploration and discovery. Not combat Even in the trailer combat is avoided largely. From running from the giant rhino to escaping the fleet battle only shooting down 1 or 2 ships in your way.

Where Star Citizen is focused more on combat for instance. The Trailer Talks of wa r and pirates. It paints a very Offence/Defense based game play where exploration isn't recommended with out combat escort, and if you decide not to have that better have big guns or a fast ship and explore or mine at ones own risk. Even the Semi perma death system and the risk of loss of your ship encourages risk/VS/reward combat incentive. Which makes it a different type of game entirely.

I feel like this is a system to system thing cause the game doesn't break 31% for me if anything i use more Memory, but i also only have 8ghz of ram anyway so thats normal in most cases. Plus i do have an i7 but its a 1st Gen i7 860. So it might actually be something else with your system thats causing that. Not just the game but something when the game and what ever your setup is.

I really liked the Star citizen part.

Sadly i feel like no matter how fun SC ends up being. Considering the Massive amount of controversy that has circled the game. With everything thats been said and what not. Plus the fact that internet trolls like to flock to things they don't like Its possible that SC might have the same Official release BS that most games have now a days.
