Did I miss something? DayZ still is in development, isn't it? Currently alpha patch 0.61 is being released. I mean: alpha. I haven't played it because its not my kind of game. But I've read that it is a fun pvp game without content. NMS also has no content, but therefore no pvp :D ;)
To be clear. Yes a collection of people may be putting out small updates every now and then, but there was a sudden drop of in development content. The original creator left like 2 years ago hence the mod getting more content and being better than the paid for standalone.

What DayZ was supposed to be is far from what it is. Sure its fun to troll and be a general nuisance, but that gets old fast. Theres never any incentive to play that game like its meant to be played due to 1 the lack of zombies in a zombie survival game, 2 the broken mechanics when it comes to UI inventory and what not, and 3 the fact that the community that plays the game tend to just play the same way. IE Server jumping collecting a mass of weapons and ammo then spawn camping new players killing on site. Thats the meta and if you dont adapt and play that way you don't have fun. Its very rare that you have the Walking dead RP experience the game was meant to give.
NMS was never intended to be a PVP based multiplayer game. It was a space exploration sim with PVE elements. Its focus as far as i saw it was on exploration and discovery. Not combat Even in the trailer combat is avoided largely. From running from the giant rhino to escaping the fleet battle only shooting down 1 or 2 ships in your way.
Where Star Citizen is focused more on combat for instance. The Trailer Talks of wa r and pirates. It paints a very Offence/Defense based game play where exploration isn't recommended with out combat escort, and if you decide not to have that better have big guns or a fast ship and explore or mine at ones own risk. Even the Semi perma death system and the risk of loss of your ship encourages risk/VS/reward combat incentive. Which makes it a different type of game entirely.
Just to say, no man's sky is a major cpu eater. I5 6500+fury x here, and it chews up 80-90% of my cpu, will my GPU activity remains pretty low. Runs butter smooth though with the latest amd drivers
I feel like this is a system to system thing cause the game doesn't break 31% for me if anything i use more Memory, but i also only have 8ghz of ram anyway so thats normal in most cases. Plus i do have an i7 but its a 1st Gen i7 860. So it might actually be something else with your system thats causing that. Not just the game but something when the game and what ever your setup is.
