They said RTX 2070 (low end) starts at $499
I added the MSRP prices to my post above. I imagine, this will change as initial supplies run low and the usual scalpers try to make a big profit.

Hopefully, by late Fall, supplies will build up, and we don't have to put up with the ass-hattery of inflated prices.

Still want to see some benchmarks compared to other cards, but the numbers they were calling out were crazy.
Fucking AI inside your graphics card? Skynet much  What can go wrong.
Wasn't "The Smoking Man" one of the guys who **could** tell us everything that could go wrong? :D

I have a 1080. I will probably sit this gen out. That said, I planned to sit the 1080 gen out as well, until my older GPU decided to die. I am glad I got it early though, as I still paid a lot less than what people were paying in the mining hayday.

Also they tried this pricing scheme before. It backfired on them then and unless the crypto-currency fad comes back, I suspect the next gen will be a lot cheaper.

Never buy or pre-order founder cards guys, you're screwing yourselves out of extra value that companies like EVGA will later provide with their editions.

Also, if you have a 1080TI

"And while it has the same 11GB of RAM and 352-bit memory bus as the GTX 1080 TI"
It's worth to wait another generation imo unless SC utilizes this live ray tracing somehow.

They won’t come cheap. The Nvidia-manufactured Founders Edition versions will cost:
$599 for the RTX 2070,
$799 for the RTX 2080 and
$1,199 for the RTX 2080 Ti.
The latter two cards are expected to ship “on or around” Sept. 20, while there is no estimated release date for the RTX 2070. Pre-orders are currently available for the RTX 2080 and 2080 Ti.

Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang announced different “starting at” prices during the keynote presentation. Huang’s presentation said
the RTX 2070 will start at $499,
the RTX 2080 at $699 and
the RTX 2080 Ti at $999.
Asked for clarification, an Nvidia representative told Polygon that these amounts reflect retail prices for third-party manufacturers’ cards.

Naming their new lineup after that terrible rock band, a ballsy move.
