This is where we would have the initial events I think. Pretty cool place, know some dudes there.

So I just posted on the PDX Reddit about a Portland Area Star Citizen Meet-up Group. I got more than enough responses to launch the project earlier than intended. We (My IRL buddies and I) have been planning this for sometime, but were going to hold off a few more months. Right now, I am so insanely slammed I have not answered emails to CEO's, other exec's of major manufactures in the Tech world. I have skipped about every single meal in the last month. I don't even have time for my morning NESSPRESSOooooo! Yeah, that slammed. Of course, as I usually do when shit gets like this, I do about the dumbest thing possible and take on another project. Well, this time I just haaaadddddd to do it.

Anyway, here it is folks. THE PDX STAR CITIZENS MEET-UP GROUP Please, if you can to help us get some traction make a meet-up account, and sign-up for this Group. As all of our LAN Events of course will coincide with Official TEST Events, if that is alright with @Montoya , @SeungRyul of course :) Anyway, I am here to put my vast resources in the Tech/Gaming Industry to use, and I figure that one of the ways I can best serve TEST is by recruiting. I assume that I will be able to get a fair amount of recruits via hosting some epic and awesome BAR CITIZEN's.

Also, I am designing an epic Star Citizen LAN Center, that should be about the most epic and rad things, like ever. So that should help recruit heavily.

Please help us by promoting and sharing this meet-up group!

I intend to have many of my IRL Northwest buddies playing with all of us, and I know that they will all get along pretty damned well with you guys, since we love Beer, Crashing Shit, and Star Citizen.

Okay most of all though, we need some feedback. What would YOU want in a Bar Citizen? What would you like to do? What would you like to see? What are some cool ice-breakers out there. Please help us Pacific Northwest Guys out with this one. And sure as shit this won't be the only TEST "backed" Meet-up group. Just like with the ladies, I'm not going to even tell anyone I'm with TEST. I will wait until there are some really good numbers before even bringing it up, but let's be honest about it -This is a giant Recruiting and Real Life Propaganda Scheme.

I do have some IRL homies that are going to help out but I could use some support staff and stuff. I have done a lot of events like these, and LAN's and shit that got pretty epic so I know that the more help you can have the better. Please, if you can help, and would like to, and live close enough let us know. I will bump this thread and update it as we get going. It will be a month or two before the first event for sure, and it should just be a small one. Well, that about wraps most of it up. Let me know what you think. Is this stupid? Insanity? Totally rad?

I love the idea of having local meet ups, both for TEST only and for SC in general. Once this gains some traction, it could be a great recruitment opportunity for TEST. If this catches on, hopefully a New England meetup will spring up.

We'll fly you and Montoya out here in a year or two when we got our Star Citizen Command Center all set-up and running with 5-10 Battlestations, super fast Google Fiber, and Rackspace (A must for Weekend game-a-thons. I have got a lot of interest from my contacts in PDX about opening up a K-stlye Gaming Center, and of course it would be TESTed the heck out :) "TEST NW Headquarters" or something, but honestly I don't think I would do that. Right now, the plan is just for me and my IRL bros to have our own space to play Star Citizen.

Aw man if I was still in the PNW I'd be super down. I fully support the idea of localized Bar Citizens, and I assume you'll be coming down to Florida to run one in my area after the Portland one, lol.

New England has a very high concentration of Citizen's, probably even more so than SoCal TBH. So I bet it will take off.

As some of you may know, PDX is home to one of the biggest concentrations of Gamers, and one of the biggest LAN Parties known to man.

So after being in touch with the Head of PDXLAN, I can assure you that my mates and I will be there, and will be cross-promoting and networking :cool: But yeah, as you can see Portland is a bit of a Mini-Gaming-Mecca. As well as the Microbrew Capitol of North America. So I think it will be perfect for a good ole' Bar Citizen.

[UPDATE] So it looks like there is a LOT of freaking interest for this. We are moving forward rapidly with the first PDX Bar Citizen. Stay tuned and please guys, we are going to need your feedback. Please help. I will pay you guys to help with this project. Ca$h money. Or UEC funds. Or Pints. Even if you are not in the Pacific Northwest you can help just by giving us feedback, sharing this project with your Star Citizen friends, or just discussing this, and of course if you can organize something similar in your area that would be the best help of all!

Also, I have yet to even promote this thing, at all really. I just threw a FB Post up on my girls FB Page and had 10 people respond instantly. So I can easily see this being a 20-person thing for certain. And that is in the little town of Portland.

There has to be bro, Iowa is home to some very large Gaming Groups. I know because I had a customer over there who would push 40-50 of our Gaming System's a month. They have since moved to New York but that tells you there has to be a decent amount.

I will be in Raleigh, North Carolina this year. Most likely Spring or Summer. You better believe I am going to try and do a TEST Super Meet/Bar Citizen over there. Since that is where @Montoya is at. @Dalarast you going to be able to make it out? @SeungRyul that would be awesome if you could fly or hop a train down. I can get us some rooms on the good ole' company card probably (have to check with accounting first).. just spitballing here.
