Back in the day, I tried pirate swarm and it was extremely hard, wasn't able to complete it. after about 1-2 years of not playing it, I've returned. I can get through to wave 10 but can not get through the shields of the hammerhead. It is very annoying! I sit in Q for 20 minutes just for 1 person to join. I use a basic Freelance to try and DPS the Hammerhead, still can't get through the shields. I tried a Hawk's EMP Device, nothing happens. Does anyone know how to beat this monster? I am trying to unlock the goodies that come with completing the event.

Vanguard, front weapon without the mount. It can fire from a long distance since the weapon size is bigger.
Shields on it are good to handle the smaller mobs. Keep your distance and blast those HH shields in the same exact spot till you blow something up.
It helps a lot to have 1 o 2 more people in the game that are in something like a super hornet or medium fighter.

@DirectorGunner Thanks for the offer, I just beat it... I used my stock Super Hornet and with me was an arrow. shot all missiles then I rammed it. i guess I was under the shields while shooting cause I killed it.... weird.
