So I just read that whole thing, did research on the different fleets and people involved. All I can say is wow, we're talking about a video game. A game! One of the reasons so many people consider me to be a "troll", in SC, Eve, Planetside 2 etc, is because these games have turned into cesspits of inconceivable seriousness by unapologetic die-hard role players, and I can't help but feel an obligation to remind the community to enjoy the game and allow the rest of us to enjoy it also.

What instead happens is organizations get over run by these role-players who consequently enforce unrealistic "Codes of Conduct" bullshit, where mostly unaccomplished beta's assume positions of authority for which they exorcize inappropriately and in absolute disrespect toward the individuals they're charged with "leading". The game becomes a trial of political nonsense, imaginary power and a round-a-bout of privileged information fortified under false "Opsec" garbage.

Test, please recognize this, I beg you. These types of musings are desperate attempts by closet role-players to transform your fun into a Game of Thrones remake, where they are the Kings & Queens at your expense. They attract other role-players who will stop at nothing to take advantage of a large community to also be royalty and be unduly praised. The larger the community, the more lucrative the perceived power of which equates to epeen girth and don't doubt for a second there are those among us waiting for the opportunity. Just keep an eye out for the cereals and you'll spot them and their cronies, they always gravitate together like magnets - it's a personality thing and pay attention to how hard they will try to control things and be in charge. These cats are sad, probably live an unfulfilled life and are a cancer on fun for the majority.

I joined Test with haste after reading the recruitment page; everything pointed at not becoming another depressing outfit as portrayed in the linked thread here, where they undoubtedly have a list of rules and regulations enough to keep a barred lawyer busy and employed full-time. There's no reason for it, it is ridiculous to see grown men do that shit, they need to get laid, they need to get off the wine coolers and quit being the kind of nerd that gives nerds a bad reputation.

I work hard for a living and have spent the majority of my 20's in a war-zone across 3 theaters. I get to enjoy the luxuries of American soil, where I live, for (if I'm lucky) up to 6 months a year. I get online to play games with cool cats, not go back to the military where a pimply faced cunt is barking orders at me in his pretend universe that is fabricated into being more serious than it is. I'll link to this the next time someone asks why I don't take things more seriously. This will be the one and only cereal post you will see from me here, ever, until the end of time. Sorry if it offends anyone, it is just how I feel about video games and in life in general. God bless you all, and may we never end up like these assholes.

nuff said!
well i go knock back my beer and have a sweet dream while laughing about them XD

I hear some people say it's just a game and why be so serious? How do I put this? When you are flying your $300~$400 ship through the PU and suddenly find yourself floating in empty space beside pieces of your rather expensive ship, you might want to take the game a tad more serious. Sounds to me some people are looking for a single player experience that is stress free > good luck with that in the PU.

I can see spying as an actual threat only if SC get's to a point, where like eve, you can have a lot to lose. Besides, spying only makes things more fun and interesting especially when it's purely for F###ing around with other orgs. The more in depth the game is the better. There has always been spying in these player controlled story games since SWG as far as I know. I like to drink my beer with a shot of paranoia and a dash of fear of being hunted down and skinned alive(metaphorically) for betrayal.

Wow. Pretty much sums up any response to this nonsense.

My favorite part was the JW response. "I beg the senate to reach out to their people whom long for a connection to their leaders. You senators must step up and engage parts of your people." Lol when most senators reach out and engage someone in the US they are on the evening news for rape. Possible the nxt breaking story ?

When I read senate all I thought of was the senate from Star Wars. Then I pictured a senate being made in SC. Imagine, if you will;

The senators from the galaxies many organizations land their Constalations on a uninhabited neutral planet. Naturally TEST shows up in an old beat up Aurora that has obviously crashed one time too many.

Random Org senators - we propose to...

TEST Senators - *hic* yeah! We agree to vote yes for more booze for future gatherings. I think.

Random Org - That's not...

TEST - MORE BEER! Whooooo!

Random Org - I told you. Don't tell the TEST guys we're meeting. They always do this!

Why, thank you. And if we make enough, we could open a bar, where everyone knows your name......oh, wait....;) Did you ever notice that the TEST colors are the same as Guinness?(kinda, black and gold vs. black and yellow?

We are lucky to have a lot of smart and like minded individuals in TEST that work together
You have offended me for the last time, Montoya.

But remember when the pu comes out your 300-400 ship would just be time spent in the game earning the in-game credits to earn a ship... The 300-400 to 1,000+ we invested was for getting the game made and not for a ship(s). Well that's what we tell others, right?

(Not directed at overlord but my general thought on this)
But as said by my military brother above... Most of is deal with drama and politics in our job and a lot of us are or at one point we were in the military... We don't look forward to sc and the organizations of sc turning into... Well work, right? I'll leave that to the people who also play house while I put my kids on the bus and pay my mortgage ;)

shure just like gta you could always get hunted and blown up hapened to me many times but you just don't have to get to serious about it. corect me if im wrong but you'l get your expensive ship back and can start anew. true you could also do that with making/joining different orgs but why do you have to take a god da** game so serious as if it where real life.
if i get blown up ill say good job dude! next time it will be you who is going to eva ;)
