Delamar & Levski are going home - Star Citizen Spectrum
Hello everyone, As we've mentioned in the past, having Delamar in the Stanton system would be a temporary thing. With our upcoming patch Alpha 3.12.1, we’re planning to remove the asteroid...

Maybe the best SciFi tv show ever, on par with Battlestar Galactica.I was watching that last night! Catching up on this season, so far so good!
Test CaveI hope they apply that deformation tech they demonstrated with grenades to asteroids. How cool would it be to dig a big ass hole on one of the bigger asteroids and mine it from the inside out, then put some habs inside it. Homemade grimhex here we comes. Now what to name it?
I know I'm going to try to make a Batcave for some of my vehicles and ships somewhereI hope they apply that deformation tech they demonstrated with grenades to asteroids. I got it! The Glory Hole.Test Cave
Or simply Man Cave ; )
This idea sounds very minecraftish, by the way.
And I like it.
Very likely the reason for removing Delemar is the server at theyr limits: they've already removed some assets in the past (planet side locations) to allow new content to be in, with the Xenootreath mission incoming ad a lot of people filling up the servers there is a serius chance that this could collapse the systems if not balanced out with something removed.I suspect they are removing Delamar because of the additional points of interest they want to add in the near-ish future. New asteroid tech, drive in and sinkhole entrances to caves, and the overall polish. They may even be closer to Crusader being a true planet you can explore, with points of interest by itself. (3.14 by the looks of it in the roadmap). From what I recall, Stanton is pretty full as a single server, and they need to remove stuff if they want to add in new POIs, outposts, etc. At least, I am hoping these are the reasons for removing it.
As far as I want to be proved vrong I think is very unlikely both for Crusader and server meshing: remember the fact that a task will compleate ina give time doesn't mean that is will straight be released, it could be "keep on hold" for the infrastructure needed to support it to came up.there is another possibility, and that is server meshing might be coming sooner than originally thought. If they can get three systems, Nyx, Pyro, and Stanton online, this would allow them to test and start major balance passes on multiple systems and gameplay loops. For instance, with Pyro bring a criminal haven, and Nyx being more neutral, especially with regards to UEE laws, you might have people wanting to do trade convoys and escort missions from Stanton to Pyro, running through Nyx. You would also have opportunities to mine ores in both Pyro and Nyx and then transport them back to Stanton for sale. This is probably further out than the first reason.
I think in the past some dev mentioned that they are looking for a way to improve the asteroid interaction while minig: right now mining asteroid use a simple sprite while extracting the minerals, while the same operation with the ROC actually move real item.I hope they apply that deformation tech they demonstrated with grenades to asteroids. How cool would it be to dig a big ass hole on one of the bigger asteroids and mine it from the inside out, then put some habs inside it. Homemade grimhex here we comes. Now what to name it?
