Reticle Directional Question

Does anyone know how to get rid of this annoying circle? It is ridiculous trying to snipe with this thing (can't see anything). Doesn't seem to appear on a Hornet or Defender, but definitely on Sabre and Vanguards.
See image below. I hope there's away to turn it off. I tried all the game options, nothing seems to do the trick. Thanks Testies.

Looks like you have it in gimbaled mode, try switching to fixed or gimbal assisted modes.

For the Vanguard you are flying I reccomend pressing R until the dotted circles appear on the hud. This is Gimbal Assist Mode, which will make the chin gimbal auto-aim while you concentrate on aiming the fixed nose guns. The gimbal gun basically becomes fire-and-forget so you can put them all on the same firing group (left mouse button) and waste less shots. It only auto-aims inside the dotted circle.

Dude, right now I believe Mr. NaffNaff's advice is the best way to go... I highly reccomend it. Fixed weapons are totally borked right now, and so is the aiming.

I desparately want fixed weapons to get "fixed" but for right now, gimbaled is the way to go. I have no idea when CIG plans on fixing fixed weapons...
