So,
Let's make an RC tank!




Game plan:
Make a functional RC Nova Tank.... TEST edition
Send it to Disco Lando to play with after we do a fun video with it

Background:
To stay out of trouble, things like this (unless given express permission from CIG) needs to be either one off personal use / self made OR a gift to any Developer. If I understand how things work.. shrugs

What size are we thinking? As the size increases so does the relative cost for the servos involved... printing material is pretty cheap, just costs more time the bigger the print.

From scratch anks can be a bit tricky due to suspension and tensioner, should we use an existing tread system or build everything from complete scratch? I'm open to the challenge of complete scratch but either way I'm happy to design and print away, I'm familiar with fusion360.

Well the wheel placement is different if you look at my X slice image, than all the Tamiya tread assemblies.. so depends if accuracy is important?

How will the turret pass firearms laws in the UK, I know it's a railgun but surely it's considered a firearm?

Also will the slugs be custom made or can a small lead bullet be used as a substitute?

Also railguns aren't possible at this small size and are uneconomically expensive so will there be a charging dock or long cable or something?

I think the railgun can be powered by C02 or airsoft technology
Slugs being a special polymer called airsoft pellets or a rare metal called BBs....
might work... we'll have to see

Id definately say go with a customizable kit and make the base plate from scratch. I also suggest some RC motor parts i know there are a lot of sites you can buy RC custom equipment. make sure you manage your weight or the tank will fall over or fall back.(weight distribution needs to be more tword the front but not all the way in the front.)
