hey m8, we almost have the same power case ! :D
So you saw my olde PC.
In january this year, my GF and I decided to change our gaming PCs , so we bought some good stuff :
minus the power cases, I forgot to photography these.
So what I had before : Core 2 duo 8400 @3.3ghz , 8go DDR3, GTX660 ( had problems, overheated a lot)
My new config :
-Asus MAXIMUS VII Hero (for sale, I usually don't go for "gamer" mb)
- i7 4790K with Noctua NHD15 for me and NHU14 for my Gf (they're the same, the D15 is just double the size and my Gf has a small Lian Li case, so the big one don't fit)
-Asus Strix GTX 970 Oc (same as mb, was a sales.)
-16Gb DDR3 1600 cas 9 patriot ( My GF took my old 8Gb Cas8 1333 Corsair XMS3 )
-Crucial MX100 512Gb (would not recommend, had some issues with these, but 6084060 firmware updates later, they works well )
Peripherials :
-2x 22" Asus monitor 2ms latency
-Asus G510 keyboard
-Razer Ouroboros ( had coupons, paid it 20€ \o/ )
-Logitech G430 Headset
-Standard cheap logitech soundthings.
-1st edition (10 year old) logitech dual action controller. my triggers aren't even analogics :/
We had a laugh when we replaced my Gf's old Gt220 by the new gtx, the size difference is quite impressive XD
and I was quite worried when I saw my cpu fan, but finally the memory fitted :
So here it is, fit perfectly in my 8years old Antec P182 case!
minus my old HDD I didn't put back in yet on the picture.
The dvd player is bent because I was angry once, and I punched it:

That picture is actually older than the pc, I still had my old computer, and still played Eve.
Since then, my headset and my mouse changed, the rest is the same.

And yes, I have a lot of ASUS stuff, but I was an asus reseller when I owned my computer store, and I kind of like their stuff. Plus here it's not very expensive.
