Mission Briefing
1. Capture and hold! Your team's mission is to capture the structure in the middle of the Dying Star map in Arena Commander.
1.1 You capture it by eliminating all opponents presence from around it or by being the last man standing.
1.2 Respawn rule. Respawn immediately and remain on standby waiting for an order from your wing leader.
1.3 Wing leader has to fly closer than 2km from an ally to rendezvous with them and call them back into the fight.
1.4 Acknowledge the order and join your wing leader
1.5 Regrouping with the wing before entering the combat zone is adviced. You can circle the map to take a pause to discuss a tactic with your wing leader before entering combat.
1.6 Keep the comms clear of chatter and listen to your wing leader for target information and execute attack patterns he comes up with.
*Getting a new ship by running into a wall is not permitted. Do it with self-destruct and pull the ejection handle. Value pilot survivability.
Tactics can have a lot of variation based on your support ship. Bombard the enemy with the Eclipse. Boom and zoom assisted by a Raven or coordinate a missile strike to take out a single target. Let's do more than a close quarters brawl with 400 speed. End of transmission.
We work on finding the best weapon loadout to suit your playstyle. Try APAR Mass Drivers to start and then we determine by watching you play if your more suited for close range with Pyros/Predators or should you opt-in for neutron cannons/omnis.
1. Preflight prep starts 30 minutes before the combat sessions. We will try to finish in 15 minutes on keybindings to configure basic stuff like boost, afterburner, match speed, esp toggle, gimbal lock, analog strafing and decoupled mode controls as needed. Change your pips to lead and turn esp on.
1.1 Join PU and file a claim on your ship and return to the main menu without waiting for the time to countdown. Get invited to the AC lobby and configure your ship's loadout.
2. If you plan on joining late then there are opportunities to join between matches and during breaks.
3. A Raven is the new meta for any fighter squad now! If we can have one EMP ship on both teams that would be ideal. As a basic rule in combat target, the EMP ship first or your team will lose.
4. The Eclipse can take the place of an EMP ship if the team desires it. EMP can disable torps keep it in mind.
5. We rotate the wing commander position for each engagement so everyone gets the opportunity to be in charge of a fighter wing.
