Looking closer at the S5 Absolution Distortion Scattergun, it appears it fires 20 pellets that do 750 distortion damage each, so at greatest range you would be doing very little even with a direct hit, and the range is already very limited. Looks like it does no physical damage at all. Is only for knocking birds senseless.
At point blank range, 15,000 points distortion damage could likely knock an Idris computer out--and you can mount S5s on the Prowler, so. . .holy smokes. . .what could you NOT board so long as you can get from detection range to point blank range in just a few seconds in surprise?
The new EMP tab lists the distortion damage of the Raven (but you have two on that bird) and the Warlock. Both 3600 total. Looks like the Absolution does 4X that with a single shot.
Lets say you want to board from a Valkyrie. Suppose you dedicated just 4 of your S3 guns to Distortion Cannons, looks like that could take down most big birds in just a few seconds.
No distortion figures for the Srester series missiles listed yet, but distortion is coming. . .it is coming! Can anyone find these guns in the stores for testing? Would be good to know what shields do to pellets.
