Yeah, so as the title of the article implies, my Dad and I have purchased a Polaris-Class Corvette...
Registration Block 1-100, or at least thats what it was when we put it in the cart and ordered it...

Only thing is, we can't find anything on which reg. number we got.
Anyone here gotten one already and can help us out?

They REALLY make me want to buy one with the whole registration, booklet, and limited discount! But I don't think I can justify it as I really don't need one.

Congratulations! Don't think they are telling you which number yet...
I am sorely tempted to throw more money at it too, but I will wait till sunday and use some melt creds and a subscriber coupon and save hundreds of fresh washingtons from the clutches of Mr. Roberts.

On quick review of the initial stats, the Polaris is exactly the system defense / gunboat concept I was hoping for, and which I kind of hoped they wouldn't design (so I could pass on it).

The concentrated forward firepower (looks to be 5 of the turrets, both missile racks and the torp's can be brought to bear on a target simultaneously), decent overall turret and missile coverage for anti-fighter mission (but with some noted hull shadows without good coverage), a hangar (looks to me to be in the 40-45M length range, up to a Vanguard is my estimate) and impressive anti-cap torpedo loadout (28 x S6) along with some amenities, potential modularity, some cargo capacity and a cool mess/recreation room.

Clearly not intended to go toe-to-toe with an Idris or similar on its' own, a flight of these would be impressive firepower (imagine 2 or 3 on a QD ambush, dropping out of QD, hitting a larger ship with a volley of 12 torpedos and a quick blast of gunfire and then jumping back into QD). In system-wide engagements, picket lines, anti-piracy patrols, small convoy escort, etc., this could be a great platform if it ends up being fast and agile for its' size (which it should, sacrificing armor mass for shielding and a decent weapons load).

I also really like the design language used, looks like a clear evolution from the Connie (makes sense coming from RSI) and will very likely end up in my fleet this weekend.

Damit, I have access to it bun since I whant to use store credits I can't buy it because it have real life objects. I'll have to wait to the Sunday sale :(

Why I can't use store credits if I don't select the book? There is no phisical items on the base package...... I melted the ships for nothing. Hope the Sunday they let me get it even if it's without the discount :(:oops:

With the discount its cash only. Confirmed on Sunday you can get it with credits.

Perfect, thanks for the info man it made me happy again and don't feel like a retard for melting :D . I've fallen in love with this ship design, its like a Carrack front on steroids :cool:

At first peeps will be like that Corvette is gonna be a tough fight, then they be like RUN!.......it's a TESTIE in an AURORA!

A cowbell with torpedo flavored nacho cheese dust lol. I know it didn't live up to everyone's expectations... but what does? Personally I like it and if I had $625 to drop, it would be in my hangar today.
