South Park saves Star Wars?!

So much has happened and so much been written this last week about the South Park parody of Disney, that is daunting even to try to sum up. In short however: South Park launched into a penetrating criticism of many things Disney, poking fun where it was fun to poke. They lambasted Snow White, they mocked the gender swaps going on all across several Disney properties, but in my mind the most righteous skinning alive was taking KK to task over her decade of terrible decisions concerning radical feminism, DEI, woke and Star Wars.

It’s no secret I was hanging my hopes on Ahsoka to salvage the ruins of the Star Wars franchise, and though I liked Ahsoka, I can’t say it saved Star Wars. I was wrong and Ahsoka was not the hero we needed to save Star Wars, at least not yet. So what can save my favorite franchise from the evil clutches of Kathleen Kennedy and the woke mind virus? Apparently the hero rising to such overwhelming task, is South Park.

The tale doubles in size each day, as the idiot morons at Disney keep taking the bait. There’s no way to answer parody through the courts. Disney tried. Satire is fair use. No help there. Apparently South Park is on task to add two more parts to their barbecue, and the heat goes on. . .

Can our intrepid comics snatch the burning ashes of George Lucas’ beloved property from out the demonic flames and restore to We the People our cherished stories? Only time will tell.

But DAMN! Have you seen any of the entertainment press on this the last ten days? Every day is a new exercise is Disney Stupidity. All new heights are being reached each day!

Just amazing. I so did not see this coming.

No actually, there was a single thread on this apolitical issue until Montoya closed it down due to unnecessary sniveling and deceit. It had survived several interesting pivots and necros until you decided to parade your cheesy virtue signaling. Now you’ve returned to poison the well.

It’s entirely possible for adults to discuss cultural forces at work in society without being political. Just we can’t do it with children around. These discussions have an entry requirement—you need to be an adult.

South Park ripping The Mouse a new asshole is culturally relevant stuff. It’s part of art and culture. It is not political until someone deliberately makes it political.

I will however own that this penchant to shit upon every good thing, this need to drop your drawers and dump feces whenever something good and positive comes along, it is indeed found on just one side of the isle. There are no conservatives on the streets telling people to accept the actions of Hamas. You need to be a special kind of crazy to embrace such evil. So yeah, I’ll agree with you that how we view art and culture often correlates to how emotionally diseased and ideologically possessed we are.

Just none of that is relevant to South Park. They’ve proved for over two decades to be an equal opportunity offender of both sides of the isle. When a world-class satirist takes aim at race and gender swapping, hateful feminism and economic psychodrama, the adults need to discuss. It’s on you if you’re not able. Lots of us are.

While I totally dig Southpark ripping KK and as such Disney a new one, can we quietly enjoy that without calling our mates degenerates? Or cowboys?
Matter of fact, a friend of mine is of Blackfoot descent and they still have kinda mixed feelings about those nerfherders...
(Come to think of it, she's as german as I am. Has to be some pretty thin blood there.)
I know, i know, asking for something like keeping it civil in an internet forum is not unlike trying to stop a forest fire with a bottle of water.
And more likely than not you'll find out that your cousin exchanged the H2O with moonshine.
Still, I do have some hopes for this ragtag band of space nomads to stay as chill as they usually are.

Well, we tried.

I remember when all you used to talk about was Stealth mechanics and I thought here is an Orgmate who will really do us proud with their knowledge and enthusiasm on the subject, here will be a proper expert on stealth who can help guide us to glory.

And then a few years ago you really want off on one calling everyone here all sorts of things... I remember asking you at the time "this isn't like you what's going on?" - you left for a short while only to return with apologies and assurances you had not been yourself.

I was hoping you would be able to apologise for your insults again this time but it was not to be.
