The way things are going, I won't say that it's impossible for CIG to collect $100 million this year in pledges as long as they keep doing what they've been doing the last few years. I will say that if CIG opens SQ42 to be available on the PS5 & new XBOX systems & have those versions be linked to a CIG account so that their progress in SQ42 can benefit their SC account the way it will for us PC gamers, then that will cause a large influx of console gamers that also have PCs into the Verse. Which will only cause the project we love to grow near exponentially.

Thank you, Glorious Leader!

What I see is 3 months of pledges last year in just the first two months this year. I'd it keeps up like that, it's going to be an exceptional year...

Some things are happening in the world which were not last year, which hadn't made their presence overly felt in the first quarter. We'll have to see how it goes but I do know IRL is starting to get more expensive.

It'd be pretty cool to know what part of that is TEST.
Like, assuming an average TEST member has pledged the same amount as your average backer, then out of the 447047297 money raised thus far, TEST would've contributed 2 488 256 money.
Like, we'd be a $2.5 mil Org.
We already got black and gold theme, should just rename the org to Gold Squardon.

This is interesting...it finally appears that CIG & SC have hit "critical mass" and no longer are reliant on "whales" for funding, but can attract new players and thrive on those paying just USD $45 or $60 for the starter package.
It's still the whales. They are either enticing more people to become whales than they are losing or they are enticing more of the whales to spend even more.

I don't think this will happen. ED just backed out of trying to run on consoles; it's just too hard to cram all of the various needed controls on to a 10 button handheld. Plus it's not necessary, as they're clearly getting plenty of funding from just the PC base, so IMO I just don't see it.

True, the games controls would have to be simplified for the console versions & they'd definitely not have as much control over their characters / vehicles as we do on PC, but SQ42 is a single player game, so it might not require as many options for control anyways. Definitely don't need to type / text other players in game. Using the thumbs can work the flight controls like dual sticks to a degree with the trigger buttons firing the weapons & countermeasures.

Both XBox and PS5 support keyboard and mouse input. The problem is more about supporting yet another platform than the capabilities of the platforms.

The Xbox isn't much different from a low end gaming PC running, essentially, windows.
The PS5 is more difficult, since it doesn't run something close to Windows.

With so many LTI tokens in the mix again (aka Hoverquads), I bet we'll see big Invicticus launch week crowd funding this year as those tokens get used.
