Don't worry, I'm not leaving TEST nor giving up on Star Citizen. I just thought I'd start a thread for those that have to take a break for a while for whatever reason, so that those that care about them here would be able to know that things are alright.

In my particular case, I'm in the process of moving again. The moving company will be disconnecting the power from my home the morning of Sept 30 to begin preparation for moving the home to a new location. If all goes well, I'm hoping that I'll have my power & net back on in a week or so, though getting everything set back up might delay being back online for a bit longer as you may imagine.

I'll be more than happy to post updates here if possible along the way & let you all know when I'm actually back. Currently I'm thankful that it should all be done before CitizenCon.

Anybody else that would like to post a message of them needing to be away for a bit is also welcome to use this thread as well to help us all keep in touch in things like this.

This is.... consideably less drama than I expected upon reading the title.
Can this be considered clickbait?
Naaaaaw...
Just glad that you're fine.
And may your move go smooth!

I appreciate the well wishes for the move my friend. I did my best to come up with a title that wouldn't seem dire, while still conveying an abbreviated description of what I wanted to say to those that might think that something was up if I stopped showing up & giving my salutes to messages that I'd read or better for those I like more. So rest assured that I'm looking forward to returning in time to enjoy the various theory crafting & shit posting that often leads up to major events like CitizenCon. My best guess, is that something digital might occur, but I'm not admitting if I've heard that from anybody from CIG or not.

We will keep the lights on and lift the restraining order in anticipation of your return young Jedi. I would say have fun but I don't know many who enjoy the process of moving....
Happy thoughts until your return. :o7:

In other words: We make full use of this sudden opportunity by changing the locks / passwords and deleting any prove of your existence from the chat log.
Talons-who?
Though admittedly, I'm at an age where I tend to forget people I don't see for a week anyhow.
Better re-introduce yourself propperly once you're back.
:-)

I like the way you have done this so that you do not get your door smashed down by Montoya and the Police because we miss you.

Like, literally lifting the house and tugging it somewhere else?
Meaning that they separated the house in half length wise, loaded each on the bed of an 18 wheeler & then drove it to the other side of town before driving each portion into place, jacking it up to where it was level & placing concrete blocks in key areas to hold the load before anchoring those foundation posts into the ground. After that, they had to connect the sewage, plumbing & electrical systems of each side to its counterpart before letting us move back in. There's still plenty of work to go, but at least it's livable currently.

Yeah, I've never been a fan of moving & with this move, it was as though Murphey was becoming my new roommate, because every time things started to go right, they went wrong. Jump through a bunch of expensive hoops & over hurdles, then take the next step forward.

Yes, given the extreme recent events along the east coast of the US, I'd much rather any resources we have to use to search for people be used to save the lives that are truly in need, because for the glory of TEST, that would TESTify to millions. Cheers!
