Well started reading this just over a week ago and I'm now on book 3 of the series...
still not entirely sure what's different about this one as the first book is mostly standard scifi, however books 2 and 3 start to go off the rails a bit, I get the feeling the series all needs to be read together to catch all the bits of the cross-overs
