Hi All!

Mastersan reporting in.

I've been exploring this site for a little while, and I've even signed up into the TESTploration Group to get some guidance and practical advice, which have been quite helpful thanks to Forbidden Tek - [F-Tek], hardroc77, Printimus and Blind Owl.

Given that I now have some skill and experience with exploration, I've brought some beer to Port Olisar for fellow TESTers. So, come over and have some beer, it's free*. Which one do you like most? I've got a batch from Earth: Asahi, Budweiser, Heineken, Guinness, Corona, James Squire, Sapporo, White Rabbit, and that's just the first cargo crate. No kidding! Look outside, see that Starfarer on landing bay A10? Loaded with beer! :beers:

Actually, maybe we should run a poll on this subject! What do you say?

So... Starfarer, beer, commerce... or exploration. Or both. Exploration, commerce and fun. Wait a minute. There's no fun in exploration and commerce without the military and torpedo delivery service. That's what I'm looking forward to. Currently geared slightly more towards the exploration path with my humble Aquila, but can do quite a bit of freight with the mighty Aurora. Also can do well in combat: space, e.v.a., on foot, with food (and beer). PVP, PVE, PVB**.

Since 2012 I've been monitoring Star Citizen and Elite Dangerous, as I wanted to play a large scale space MMORPG/Sim with open world, exploration, trade, combat and lots of interaction, with great graphics and not built for console. To be honest, I was under impression that Elite was going to be that game, as I expected it to be "that" old Elite reborn. However, as the time went on, it turned out that only Star Citizen stayed on this path. And so finally this year I've enrolled into the ranks of Citizens of the Stars.

Aurora or Mustang... a difficult decision. It was Aurora, that I've ended up with. I believed it was a more well rounded ship for doing well in many areas, therefore enabling me to explore the possibilities and specialise later on. Liked the manufacturer's (RSI) work in areas of design, functionality, ergonomics, and overall impression. So, after a while, became a proud owner of a majestic Aquila. Keen to see what's out there. And being already equipped with some exploration experience, it's always better to find out what's out there with a mighty Team behind your back (a military escort and beer 'farer welcome). Testers may just be that mighty team. By the way, sadly they've ran out of Carracks and Endeavours, but not sure if I could successfully fly one of those solo in any case.

And then there was an invite. Test Squadron and some others. But you know what? I've just liked the Test charter:
- You have the right to crash your Aurora.
- If you do not have an Aurora, one will be issued to you.
- You can decide at any time to exercise your rights to crash in any other ship in order to make a more explosive statement.

Besides, if I'd opted out for a Mustang, I wouldn't be able to meet the first two points. At least not until the second point is executed and I'm issued with an Aurora.

Anyways...

Large communities are great, so being 14k members strong is awesome. I've been once invited to The Older Gamers (TOG), if you've heard of them, and still remember simultaneous ~3k players PvPs in Planetside2. That was cool. So, hoping something similar if not greater to happen here. Otherwise, what do they have all these Bengal carriers for?

You can find me playing Asian/Australian time. Occasionally thought, as exploration is a big job and requires a lot of rest.

Picard or Kirk? Hmm... Picard, Kirk and sometimes Skroob! :grinning:

Have a great day, Team!

Mastersan out.

* The beer is free if you come and say "Hi". Otherwise, you must give me a hug. :grinning:

Just arrived at Pad A10.... No Starfarer... just a lot of empty cans and a bloke passed out taped to his upside down Aurora but did find a few cans of Guinness so better late than never. You seem to be able to throw a pretty decent PvB training event so welcome to TEST :beers::airplane_arriving::rocket:

Welcome to TEST!
What if I want to say "Hi" AND give you a hug? Is the beer still free?
Well, if you say "Hi" then the first condition is met, so the beer is free and the hug is optional. On the other hand, if you give me a hug first, then the first condition is defaulted by behaviour and the second condition is met, so the beer is free and the following "Hi" is optional. If you say "Hi" and give me a hug at the same time, then we may either time it to a microsecond, or more precisely, to determine which event has occurred first; or we could agree that we assume "Hi" is said first, before saying "Hi" and giving me a hug at the same time. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Actually, when we do commerce, we should put some good thought into the fine print conditions on our selling and buying agreements to Test our customers and our bushiness performance. :money_mouth:

BUT! For my fellow Testers the beer is always free, and if you say "Hi" AND give me a hug, the beer is even more free, as we will open more beer and release it from the captivity! :beers:

Also, since we are Testers, we may follow an iterative and agile beer testing methodologies, such as: open a beer -> test the beer -> test successful (y/n) -> if yes, repeat the test, as the more successful records, the better the testing results; if no, then repeat the test, as the previous test has been unsuccessful and we can't accept a failed test. Note, that there is no End in this approach, because there is no reason for us to end this Test.
