Likewise, the Khartu-Al is very long and skinny when sitting. Probably two of them will also fit on each of the exterior pads. I think people tend to discount the uses of the Khartu-Al. They're very stealthy and with Revenants mounted they can perform great interceptor service. Again, paired with Vulcans, six of them could be a game changer. They're faster and more maneuverable than Blades, Glaives, Arrows or Gladius, and they bring huge stealth to the game. This looks like could field 6 of them and 2 Vulcans for support. Great Escorts for Eclipse. You might even mix and match--3 Eclipse, 3 Khartu-Al and 2 Vulcans on each Liberator.

I'm liking this ship.
Ya, I am not sure you are looking at the same image as I am but I am not sure the count of ships would come close to fitting. They had three hornets on the three small landing pads and they talked about the possibility of maybe crashing one ship into the garage but its intention was to fit small ground vehicles.

Given a Hornet is 22.5 m by 21.5 m and a vulcan is 28.5 by 16.5 you might be able to fit them on the pad but 8 ships given the walls I don't see how one would accomplish it.

The Liberator is 68M wide 122M long, 24M High. That makes the pads about 32 wide X 38 Long. The Khartu-Al is only 8 wide when sitting, and about 30 long. The Eclipse is about 15 wide and 20 long, but way too tall to fit inside the Lib.

I think it is possible both the Eclipse and Khartu-Al will fit sitting across the pad, facing abeam, stacked two fore to aft. If that's so, one could build a potent strike team with 3 Eclipse, 3 Khartu-Al, 2 Vulcans and 1 Lancer Mis. That's 12M damage per strike (just Itorps), which is generally enough to kill even a Javeline I think.

Everything but the Lib can stealthed so can approach battle, which means you could replace both your torps on the Eclipse and your rounds for Revenants on the Kharts. Lancers carrying all S3 Thunderbolts have a range of 15 km. I'd park a Lancer and the Vulcans at 18 km from the periphery and move them forward just 3 km to deploy them, presuming the periphery is about 10 km radius from a target cap ship. So what this requires is 10 pilots, no other players. Players generally want to pilot, so this is in a sense, a zero-crew strike force, presuming the Vulcan captains can rearm and refuel without help.

I like stuff like this because it allows huge flexibility for a fleet commander to select exactly the number of fighters and bombers he wants to deploy and from where. You might decide to attack with no fighter or missile cover, since the S9 torps have a 50km range. You could lose a lot of torps and still kill most anything with 6 Eclipse. If you find torps are too easy to shoot down when launched at 50 km, then choose a bomber interceptor mix. If you had three Libs you wouldn't necessarily fly them in formation. If you know your target, you probably want strike teams to approach from different points, even if they all strike the same shield of a big ship. The biggest deal is of course, you have the carrying capacity of an Idris with virtually no crew requirement. These are likely to see more duty than the Idris, IMHO.

This shows the pad as being just bigger than a hornet and given a hornet is 22 I would say the width is at most 25 and the lower landing pad is even shorter given the railing on both sides.
I am looking for the overhead image they used as well but have not found it yet. The width will be the biggest limiting factor I am sure ships can hang wings off the front and back as well as the second level being able to hang over those on the lower deck.

One last thing is they can use the same mag plates like they are doing with cargo that one ship per pad will be able to be locked to the pad.

Before I make another mistake, what turns you on about this ship ? to me, it's just the m2-c2 but can hold two small fighters so no SCU like the m2-c2.
You can use this as a base of operations completely I think, you could have a couple rovers, a small explorer ship and another ship to help refine if needed? Room for all.

From what Isaw internally there isn't much for people to do other than pilot and the dude who does everything else. I'm on the fence with this one.
I hear ya, for me though, considering the role and what I had the C2 for originally, this just made sense!

I melted my Freelancer DUR to get the upgrade though...so now Im down a small-medium explorer, I also dont really like the look of the new 400i so I will need to think about exploration options. I want something DUR sized for small jump points so maybe just get that again?

Nice catch. That does look like a Hornet, though could be a SH, which is slightly bigger. Either way the Khatu-Al won't fit up there unless it can hang over. I think the Eclipse will still fit though. We'll have to wait and see. Certainly it is shorter than the Hornet is wide. It's a fair bet though that we can't fit more than recommended on this, which is disappointing. Maybe 4 Eclipse tops--I don't recall theor folded size. The Vulcan is long, skinny and 10m tall. If the height fits, only one could fit in there, but 1 Vulcan for every 3-4 Eclipse could be a nice match.

It will be interesting to see what Medium ships will fit on top to refuel.

I did it...I upgraded my C2 to the Liberator...

I dont regret it! I like the looks much better and think it will be a bit more long-range capable maybe?
Looking forward to learning more about this new cap ship!
I think they will definitely give it some amazing range and quantum speed. It needs to be the fastest to get to the AO.

I like it. A pocket carrier to get a few of your ships out to your AO, rather than making multiple trips.
That is my primary use case for it.

If it is 5 landing pads as the sales page states capacity, it makes a good ship to transport a Bounty Hunting team with Hawks someplace without having to stop much. Possibly Hawks, a Stealth Scout, like a Sabre or Eclipse, and a Mantis. (The Front pad was listed as XXS, so a Pices, or similar.)

<Edit> Not a Pices, that is size 2. </Edit>

The Eclipse is a size 2 ship, so should fit on a Size XS pad, which the top two pads are.

That is an F7A in that image.

This carries 3 tanks plus 2 size 2 craft plus 400 SCU of Cargo. Or perhaps as many as 4 size 2 ships, 1 size 1 utility craft and 400 SCU of Cargo.
