Yeah the use of base minerals to fabricate buildings would work great with the orions mining/cargo/refinery capability .

I will prob just use store credit to buy and melt the pioneer to keep on the buy back list

Thats actually a ship landing pad on its side, isn't it? Think you'd be able to repair ships there too?

I imagine it could be use for hand held repair tool usage. But I have a feeling its more to allow supplies to be brought in. The overall ship size looks to be around 160 m long if you use the Ursa Rover next to it as a reference. This makes the landing pad about 16m square.

Got mine .. and I didn't melt my Orion either. I was in at/around 850 left.. so glad I left work early.. whew!
So Let me see..
A Starfarer to fuel it, check.
An Orion to (hopefully) stock resources, check..
A beautiful spot to slap down my claim .. umm .. well .. we shall see.
