I'm hoping that when the 890J is ready & placed in game, that CIG will let us subscribers TEST them out for free as the ship of the month. Based on what I've seen so far, I'm so incredibly tempted to melt my twin 600i bundle to pull my 890J out of my Buybacks

Firstly none of the purchased ships are for squadron 42 and lets be serious why are you taking this the latest estimated release date seriously? Is this not the fourth one for squadron 42?

I was thinking the same thing given the dumpster fire the 600 interior is. But the issue I have with the 890 is that its huge and I wanted a mid-sized luxury touring ship. While the phoenix is amazing in the middle it still is lacking in the flight deck. What they really need to do is allow Josh Coons to redesign the interior of the 600.

While you can't use your own ships in SQ42, you can purchase multiple ships that you will be able to use the military versions of during SQ42 & then use those ships during the PU that are in game to increase your skills in their use in advance.

I think I'm going to pick one up if I can when it goes on sale again. That and the Endeavor master set (the 890 costs a little less right?) are the last ones I see myself buying going forward unless they release something else attractive

Or is you = "everyone else"?

Overall i also think that progress seems to come along nicely, so i wouldn't count on 2020 but at least early 2021 for SQ42 release
And also any further major delay will probably make even the hardcorest of the hardcore fans go really really mad.
