I have been hopping on both mumble and the game most nights. However, my usual scenario is asking in mumble if anyone wants to play to earn some REC, waiting a few minutes with no response(hell, one star citizen owner didn't even know what REC was or that 1.1 had been released), then hopping on by myself. The joining game part has been horribly unreliable lately, so I think that is turning people off playing. I think in two hours last night I maybe was in 3 successful matches. Most of the games would boot me back to the lobby, crash the game, or start the game then either boot me to lobby or crash. I have had a few nights where people want to goof off in free flight, but as someone who doesn't play too often I wanted to earn some REC to try out new ships and guns. I really think co-op Vanduul Swarm could be our best training ground as we can work together against the AI and have a reward of REC at the end of it. Now if we can just get the servers to be stable!

I've been in and out the last few days. I doubled my REC racing my Aurora and doing Vanduul Swarm then rented a racer. After that, the whole thing seemed to go downhill. I tried getting into a few matches with CaptainRichard and RussianJ on Wednesday but they didn't seem to work. I haven't been able to get a stable Spectrum race by myself since I RECed the Gamma. If I just do single drone simulator it works but is pretty laggy. Also the control feels way different on the faster ships from when they had the free flight weekend. Hopefully 1.1a comes out soon and some of this gets fixed, but I don't want to get into Arena commander and use another token just quite yet. I did just get an Omega though so I guess if I lose out on the Gamma it isn't a huge deal. All that said I'll probably still be on tonight for the streams with vodka in hand. Got to earn whatever REC I can before they reduce the amount so hit me up.

I thought I would see a lot more people playing during US prime time now that REC is live and the servers are better. There are usually a lot of folks in general chat, but hardly any playing.

I hope to get online soon and practice. I am Pacific Coast US so might be difficult, but I agree we need to get good at this.
And as far as helping newbies I am all for that. I have been with Eve University for years now, and I get a lot of enjoyment out of helping people in Eve, I think I would like to do that in TEST as well.

I'm up for it, I play a round of public vanduul swarm every evening I can (I think it's way better with other humans manning a ship or two than the AI yoohoos) I'm not great but working towards better. I still get totally schooled in Battle Royale, so I stay the frack away from there mostly. Right now I"m trying to use decoupled mode more effectively... I got into an early habit in VS of hitting the brakes and spinning way too much. (a tactic that works fine for the first 4 or 5 levels of VS but then gets you shot to shit thereafter ((and dead in the water immediately in BR)) I*'m West Coast Amurica.
