Oh yeah, happened to me once too. It's entirely curable though. Just take a big gulp of "this is fine"-juice with an "Idgaf"-pill daily for as long as symptoms persist and you'll get better.
Don't have to be clean when you got money.

the next level after Space Marchal and is given when reached 10K backing.

Anyway this is not in-game yet, so no point of pursuing that level, for those who haven't lol.
Not to mention once it is in game, you can unlock it for purchase via SQ42. No need to spend 10k just to get one. It's just a bonus for those who happened to spend 10k for other reasons.

I guess the good news is I'm halfway to Wing Commander so if I stick around another 10 years, by golly I'll get that Lightning
