For me it would have to the Aquila or Carrack for exploring. But again what else do you want to do besides science with the Endevor?

BTW, what the fuck man! No Aurora???? LTI LX will fill most players needs.

You can use the store credit to buy a Hawk or two and CCU one of them to any Constellation model you like. you can even get 3 Hawks as LTI tokens I believe, and you should also have a little bit of store credit left for something in the future.

Gotta have a money maker to maintain all those ships so I would go for a Starfarer. Can also fuel your own ships cheap then
+1 for the Starfarer.
This should be your first ship acquisition after your starter package ship.
This will be the financial and logistical support base for your fleet.
Now you can buy the fun ships that may or may not self support themselves.

Thanks for all the advice, I'm going with an Orion.

BTW, what the fuck man! No Aurora???? LTI LX will fill most players needs.
I have also acquired an LN

May beer influence your final decision
The beer god and his brother the whiskey god have both featured significantly in my decision

Its so hard to say about ships that haven't been built yet, and buying ships now that won't be built for years only means you can't use your investment. Fly as much now as you can so you can decide what you want to do a year or more down the road. I would not buy anything you don't expect to fly for three years unless it is a very limited access ship you can only get on special occasion. I think the Hoplite may fit in that category. Hoplites are going to be rare and powerful.

You can always swap out ships later, so why tie up funds on ships that aren't in game or about to be? I would choose the Carrack over the 600i for that reason alone, and I like the 600i a lot.
