I would say that's exactly why they want us there. Our Aurora's mass are needed to help form the planet. I see opportunity for another test operation here. ;)

I think this ties right into the conspiracy about the rumours that Chris Roberts will blow up any world taken over by TEST, the Star Trek connection is too strong.

Well, Test Squadron Is Best Squadron... And if you want protection from the Vanduul, you won't settle for anyone but the best...
I think any habitable planet would love to have our "protection"! Because, you know, things get broken and accidents happen when we're not around to protect them... *nudge nudge*
But maybe it's just a attempt of him to incorporate us into the UEE... and ultimatively the same side as ADI. D:
This makes me think that ADI might use Chronos as a home base to spite us....
Would be too close to the front lines for those guys.^^ I expect them to be in some super-high-sec system and then brag about how they defend it. xD
Maybe, in the live version later, you just open the outter doors of your hangar - and find yourself looking onto Chronos? Who knows?
My solution: we should invite the Vanduul for a big, planet wide party, get all drunk and have fun. Being then best friends, we all together rush through the Galaxy, raiding every bloody system and planet who don't want to or is not able to party with us - and finally taking over the control of the 'verse.
So, therefore I suggest: problem solved, thread can be closed ;)

They'll have to get through our 10,000 Auroras before they can even think about posing a risk to the rest of the UEE!
I'll let you into a secret - I've been trading with the Vanduul directly for the last 2 months so much so that I am now on their "safe ship list" - They've told me to dump the Freelancer MAX as I won't need the cannons any more and use my Hull-C and not to worry about protection as they'll provide escorts if required. I can't tell you what I am trading for obvious commercial reasons but I will say there are now half a million Vanduul rocking around the verse that have either Yellow and Black, or Black and Yellow t-shirts on! I literally can't shift enough of them! Might have to buy a second hand Hull-E at this rate!!!!
So being based at Chronos system could be very profitable for Test Sqardon!
