I'm all for Chronos as our home and secret super-villainy lair. But I have one problem. The planets are not named after delicious beverages. How will we inspire bravery in our comrades and the rest of humanity without biding our time in Pislner, Pale Ale, or Stout? Oh great and glorious leader, we must surely rectify this egregious error in the UEE's records.

Things get broken and accidents happen when we *ARE around.
When TEST settles in, Chronos inhabitants will be like "oh, shit, there goes the neighborhood".

Just on a sidenote: SC will put players at a (at least) 1:10 disadvantage to NPC and will be instanced, to actually overtaking a System is not even theoretically possible unless they'd add a very artificial way (for example like owning outposts in Guild Wars 1), which wouldn't work with how SC is made. The only habitable thing in Chronos is that Archangel Station which is UEE-Protected... and being a Station means that at best you can only deliver stuff to it in terms of Trading, rather than taking something to somewhere else and make a trading route out of it.

As far as instancing is concerned, they'll only let in like 100 of us in the same instance, so it's not like we'd be able to walz in there with 1k+ Fighters and screw with the UEE.

Yes they're not as bad as they are made out to be as long as you have something to offer them. Be careful though there can be a language barrier, I've had several misunderstandings which turned out to be rather painful...that one time when I thought they offered me 2 escorts, I thought that they meant fighter escorts like a pair of vandull blades...........but the pair of escorts they actually meant......good lord...they were very tall and strong..... I could barely walk for a week!

Still life's all about trying new things...right??? Right??? Guys??? Where you going???.....

edit: so I just read the portfolio closely for the first time and they referred to 'Squadron 999'

then I checked Organizations, and that name wasn't claimed yet

so I created SQUADRON 999 [TESTES]

all are welcome

everybody gets to be an Admiral

So as I see it the 999th Squadron brings 3 points to us:
1.) Chris Roberts has given us a system of our very own
2.) ADI is going to claim that this constitutes proof that CIG is a front for Test Squadron
3.) Given the placement of this system it seems like a fine staging point for Operation YawSpoon
Did I miss anything?

you guys can help me decide

after I made SQUADRON 999 /TESTES I thought about it

and realized it should have been SQUADRON 999 /WRECKLESS because lore

then I learned that the second part of the name (Spectrum ID ) is the only part that needs to be unique

so I made a second account, bought a starter ship, and made SQUADRON 999 /WRECKLESS too

I even got the character name, Michelle Saleno, from the lore - it was available!

here's my thinking:

SQUADRON 999 /WRECKLESS should be open to all role players from anywhere

and SQUADRON 999 /TESTES reserved for people whose main org is TEST, and outlaws who don't want to damage TEST's standing

your thoughts? do i need to make a new thread with a checkbox poll?
