Hahahaha, you guys are awesome funny...and awesome...but funny nevertheless :D
sometimes, being funny is our only redeeming feature.Hahahaha, you guys are awesome funny...and awesome...but funny nevertheless :D
Yep! I melted my warden and got myself a terrapin, I own an aquila but you cant solo that or two man it, this will be my everyday ships :DJust needed an explorer. DUR was an option, but already had a base Freelancer (also chin-boobs were a con). 315P has always seemed a little one dimensional to me. Carrack is not solo player friendly. But the Terrapin is so BADASS. I thought it was going to be a mining ship. Turned out to be the Carrack's bridge with thrusters. A little bummed that cargo is nil. So Buccaneer and SEN melt later, I have my explorer / SAR. I'm done.
Gaaaaaaa. My pain! This decision. HahaThe Melting was real. cost alaysis on the $895 USd exploration package was too good to pass up for all of them with LTI. now to slowly buy back all the things...and weep quietly.
Yeah, I want a smaller explorer. The Terrapin fits the role I want. Do I still need a Carrack?Well the terrapin covered my exploration gap but it is not cheap still used credits. Also got an upgrade to the carrack from the blade but I am not sure I will use it at least its choices.
yupWell you can at least hold the decision until the carrack is in garage!
The Sentinel will probably be a much better version of the Terrapin. I don't know why people are proposing the Turtle is a mining ship. It is a long range radar and scanning/exploration ship. If you look at the link Sam posted above at time index 22m, you'll see this. Freeze the vid at time index 22:40 and you'll see the detail that is has S2 radar, S2 scanners, S2 shields, etc. This is the first time I have seen size designations for scanners and radar, but you should expect this kind of utility in the Sentinel. The difference is the Sentinel is not a starter ship. Its a GOOD ship that probably outperforms the Turtle in every way. It should. It costs more. The Lancer Dur is probably a much more capable ship than the Terrapin save that it will probably not be nearly so stealthy, and stealth is a real advantage when scanning and exploring.Yep! I personally do not subscribe to this notion at all. I think the Sentinel will be good at what it is supposed to do, which is being an ECM Fighter. It has an E-WAR pod, decoy missiles, and EMP bombs. It's purpose is to disable/disrupt targets that have already been found in an effort to support bombers, fighters, and other support ships. The Sentinel will probably be a much better version of the Terrapin.
